Miss Universe

Anyone watch this? I dunno when it was held but it was broadcast just today over here. Thanks to the judges for always picking the ugly chicks, finally "Serbia & Montinegro" got a plug... kind of embarrassing though That aussie chick was pretty good so ofcourse she didn't go on... and Venezuela is in the final 5 every year, though I must admitt usually their ladies are pretty good.
Is this event politically influenced like the Eurovision, or are the judges blind? Suprised the USA didn't do better. The girl who won was beautiful, but fuck some of the finalists, and even top 10/15 girls really sucked. I mean come on, Miss Japan? How is she different from any other Japanese woman on the planet? Not trying to be racist but really, she was very ordinary looking. Miss South Afrika, pfft.
On a funny note how many of them tripped? LOL Hot looking feminist chicks (yes the contestants) participating in an even which is against a lot of things they stand for (apparently)? Always a good way to pass 3 hours.

That reminds me, TV Guide had a very cynical description of the event.

I can't comment on their lame attempts at trying to be more than just models cause I only watched the swimsuit bit.

It isn't anything more than just chicks walking up and down showing themselves. I mean come on, everyone can learn to say "worldpeace" after someone asks about your ultimate dream, right?

That being said, I don't see anything wrong with chicks being on tv.. and if you don't like it (looks in Honduras direction) maybe you'd be better off watching some showerfun tapes

That show was bullshit too. The ugliest chick of the lot one, just cause she had blonde hair and big tits. Speaking of tits, why didn't we see any?? It started at 9.30pm and went to about 11pm on a school night. In the swimsuit and lingerie shoots their tits were hanging out anyway, but in the nude shoot there always seemed to be conviently placed cameras or plants!!!
