I just want to ask you guys your greatest All-star game youve ever witnessed.

For me I remember the 92 All-star in Orlando where Magic returns from retirement.

The 97 All-Star when Glen Rice was named MVP of the East's comeback in Cleveland ( East 132, West 120).Glen Rice set a record there for most points in a quarter. (20 pts.) That same game Michael Jordan became the first player in league history to notch an All-Star Game triple-double. Jordan finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Where should have been MJ named MVP.

had MJ not win MVP the year before, I think would've won it in 1997. having said that though, glen rice was hot throughout the whole game -- he was draining threes left, right and center. however, i think the triple double was harder to attain. yeah, he scored 20 points in one quarter but it's no secret defense in all star games are atrocious.

I liked these two as well. I could mention some classic ones like Magic shooting crazy three's, but I haven't actually witnessed them, I've only seen some highlights.

sorry i'm an MJ rider. i liked the 1997 all star game too, where MJ dished to pippen for his 10th assist/triple double. so fitting that the dish was to pippen.

i'm craving some competitiveness -- and by competitiveness i don't mean showmanship. if anyone recalls, the 2001 and 2003 all star games were won by players making good baskets, not spectacular dunks (although most of them came at the 4th quarter)

Ive only seen 03, 04, and 05. Of those 3, i would have to go with 03. MJ's shot over Marion was great. But then Kobe got 3 free throws and there was no foul. East should have won with MJ finishing out his career with a clutch shot.

I think Vince's dunk off the backboard looked a lot nicer, but T-Mac was the one who started that trend so I think its more fitting to say that dunk was also one of my most memorable moments.

No, Rice deserved it because it was obvious he was the reason the East came from behind to win the game.

MJ over Marion... I thought it was the perfect ending... until Kobe had to tie the game. He shoulda missed on purpose! Or even better, the refs shouldn't have called anything.

Well, MJ had a big part in that too but the game Rice did deservingly lock up the MVP.

Some of my favourite games and moments, in no particular order:

1988 All-Star game: MJ's 40 point performance which included a couple of really nice dunks.

1996 All-Star game: Sure, it provided more ammunition for the "foolish jordon" crowd but it was a fine game, the last one that saw all the stars that came along in the mid/late 80s and 90s all in action.

MJ's Finale in 2003: Had the game been a movie the ending might have been tilted more in his favour. Still a good way for him to go out.

1997 All-Star game: The triple double, Rice's performance, the alley-oop to Kemp, Payton's alley-oop to Sprewell, MJ's put-back on Hill's missed free throw, Wilt struggling to keep his ego in check when Ahmad was talking to him about Rice coming up on his records, the look on his face when it happened and the best Bill Walton line ever: "You tell him Marv. You go over to Wilt when Glen Rice breaks his record, then in the same breath tell him...Michael Jordan...where he ranks of all the players."

Isiah Thomas to Michael Jordan in 1989: Isiah throws it off the backboard, Michael Jordan sends it down with a windmill. But to hear Richard Jefferson tell it, nobody is even close to Vince Carter in creativity or impressive dunks. This 17 year old clip tells a different story.
