DALLAS WINS AT UNITED CENTER AGAINST BULLS
Dirk Nowitzki scored 17, and three guards combined for 14 points, as Mavs won against Bulls
DALLAS MAVERICKS 102 : 99 CHICAGO BULLS
Erick Dampier had one of the best game this season, scoring 13 points from the bench and also 4 rebounds.

This was the match between almost a playoff team, which needs only few victories to clinch the playoff spot, and the team which see playoffs as the miracle this season. Bulls almost loose the last chances to make playoffs this season, when they lost to Dallas in a good thriller at the end of the game 99 : 102.
Dirk Nowitzki suffered a minor injury, which didn't let him play almost all 3rd quarter, but he returned in the 4th quarter and helped to win against Bulls in the last minute of the game. He had 17 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks and 2 turnovers and was anounced as the player of the game.
Three Dallas guards, Jason Terry, Marquis Daniels and Jerry Stackhouse combined for 14 points. Jason Terry was very good before the half, scoring many of his 14 points. Marquis Daniels had a lot of points in the 3rd quaretr when Dirk was injured, and helped not to close score by the Bulls. Jerry Stackhouse's quarter was the last, he made lot of layups, so scoring 14 points. Great game was played by Erick Dampier, who had 13 points from the bench and played very securily at defence.
The game thriller came when Bulls took the lead 94 : 89 at the remaining about 3 minutes, so Nowitzki and Stackhouse scored some importand points then and closed the game by 3, 93 : 96. Then Josh Howard and Devin Harris stolen some balls from Chris Duhon and made some layups so leading the game by 1, 97 : 96. After another not succesful atack by Bulls, they started to faul Mavs but, Terry and Daniels were good from the line, missing only 1 shot from 6 attempts. Bulls only made 1 three point shot, so letting Mavs to celebrate the win 102 : 99!
Need to mention Chris Duhon from the Bulls, who had team high 19 points, also 5 assists, but 5 turnovers. Kirk Hinrich and Mike Sweetney combined for 12 points, while bench player Janero Pargo had 15 points.

Just before the game against Clippers, the team got news, that they clinched the playoff spot, because of other games, in which lost team, which stands at 6 place at Western Conference, so the Mavs clinched the playoff spot along with San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies, which fell from the first place to the 4th, so letting Spurs to become Western Conference leaders. Dallas still remains at the 5th place.
Team has known that now this victory is very important for better place at conference, despite that they clinched the playoff spot. But the game started very unsuccesfully, Mavs were losing 16 : 28 and then Dirk Nowitzki suffered an injury. The injury was recrudescent sore of wrist, so Nowitzki became unplayable in this game. Clippers profited by this injury, so running by 18 at the end of first quarter. At the 2nd quarter Mavs closed the game by 57 : 60, but it was the last effort by the Mavs. After the half Clippers seemed were playing more solid game and ran again by 20 points with the excellent play of Cuttino Mobley. He scored 30 points in first three quarters, hitting 3 pointers and scoring easy layups.
The Mavs lost this game 98 : 120 despairingly, with the poor defence. Need to commend only Marquis Daniels, who was the real fighter on the ground, scoring 22 points, but it wasn't enough for the victory. 14 points and 11 assists was made by Terry, but he missed a lot of shots, including 6 three pointers. Elton Brand - the main MVP candidate had only 12 points, so reducing his ablities to become Most Valuable Player. Cuttino Mobley in the 4th quarter added 3 points and had total of 33 and became the player of the game.
Clippers rised one position up in the season standings and still fighting for the playoff spot. And good news from Dallas Mavericks trainer: the injury of Dirk Nowitzki is not so serious as everyone expected. He will be available in the next game against Golden State Warriors.

This was the game, which was very important to Warriors, so they were trying very much, so the game strated very poor for Dallas. The first quarter was lost by 10 points, which was unsuccesful by Mavs. They missed lot of shots, while Warriors were increasing the score quickly, with the help of Baron Davis, he scored 10 points in the first quarter. He scored 21 points in the whole game, and made 5 assists for teammates, need to mention that he hasn't made any mistake.
At the Mavs only Dirk Nowitzki and Jerry Stackhouse were fighting in the game, and tried to close the game, other were very passive, and perhaps very calm that they clinched the playoff spot. So Dirk had 21 points and 7 rebounds, but missed many shot not only from the field, but also from the three frow line. Jerry Stackhouse had 18 points and 3 assists, scoring with 100 % percentage from the field. The end of the game was quiet good, when Howard and Stackhouse made some shots and closed the score by 29 points. At the middle of last quarter they were chasing by 37 points, unbelievable for the team which is one of the leaders of NBA. So the game finished 87 : 116 for the Warriors.
Need to mention from the Warriors also Mike Dunleavy with the 17 points, also Fisher and Pietrus, combined for 14 points both from the bench. Jason Richardson was passisve and scored only 5 points. Golden State Warriors tied the winning and losing record to 12-12 and rised to the 7th place at the Western Conference, while Dallas Mavericks dropped to 16-8 record and willing to play better in the next game at Rose Garden against Portland Trail Blazers.

The game started very nervous, because Mavs lost 2 last games against Clippers and Warriors, so they needed the win at this game urgently. The score was 19 : 17 at the middle of first quarter, but then Mavericks run 12 : 5 and they end the quarter 31 : 22. At the 2nd quarter the game looked very solid for Mavericks, which increased their lead to 18 points before the half. Big thanks to Dirk Nowitzki, who scored 16 before the half, overall he had 24 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
After the half the view of the match didn't change, Mavs didn't let Blazers to close the game, playing very good at defence, some steals by Daniels, also some blocks by Ratliff and safe rebounding increased Mavericks lead by 21 points after the 3rd quarter. The 4th quarter was calm, so bench player got the chance to play more, but suddenly and insensibly Blazers closed the game by only 13 points 77 : 90, with the help of Zach Randolph and Keith Van Horn, but Mavericks's starting five ran by 12 : 2 and Mavs celebrated the victory 102 : 79!
At this game all Mavericks starting five was playing very well and very concerned, so they win very important victory. Josh Howard had 15 points, Marquis Daniels 14 points and Jason Terry 17 points. From the Blazers need to mention also bench players Keith Van Horn and Sergey Monia. Keith had 10 points, while Sergey 11 points. All Blazers starters apart of Randolph, played not very good. Blazers lost their last theoric chances to reach the playoffs and dropped to the 14th spot at Western conference.

The 4th quarter was calm, so bench player got the chance to play more, but suddenly and insensibly Blazers closed the game by only 13 points 77 : 90, with the help of Zach Randolph and Keith Van Horn, but Mavericks's starting five ran by 12 : 2 and Mavs celebrated the victory 102 : 79!
At this game all Mavericks starting five was playing very well and very concerned, so they win very important victory. Josh Howard had 15 points, Marquis Daniels 14 points and Jason Terry 17 points. From the Blazers need to mention also bench players Keith Van Horn and Sergey Monia. Keith had 10 points, while Sergey 11 points. All Blazers starters apart of Randolph, played not very good. Blazers lost their last theoric chances to reach the playoffs and dropped to the 14th spot at Western conference.
