Thu Feb 02, 2006 6:13 am

Why are they begining to have most of them in the west conf. now. ...denver,houston, las vegas, and new orleans... :S

Thu Feb 02, 2006 6:19 am

No clue. Maybe cause most before that we in the East. I'm happy for New Orleans and I'm sure CP3'll make the team, unless he drops off.

Thu Feb 02, 2006 7:00 am

Should be in TORONTO, but then again, no NBA player likes Toronto.

Thu Feb 02, 2006 7:06 am

Wow, the team owner and NBA are commiting fiscal suicide by returning to New Orleans. Oh well, not my money to pour down the drain.

Thu Feb 02, 2006 7:30 am

Not a bad idea. I hear the arena should be ready for full time use at the beginning of 2007 so I guess this is their way of showing they care.

Thu Feb 02, 2006 7:37 am

They could show that they care by stopping those god awful commercials.

VC's said positive things about the city of Toronto. Said it's the best kept secret.

Thu Feb 02, 2006 8:07 am

...Well, thats 1 out of 450+ players in the leauge...

Thu Feb 02, 2006 8:08 am

Thats cool that its in New Orleans, the Hornets need soemthing to wait for! :P

Thu Feb 02, 2006 8:24 am

Its_asdf, lol funny sig.

I really want Toronto to host 2008 all-star game, because we only have 1 NBA franchise here, and it would be good to have just one weekend like this. Also, the place would be SOOOOOOO packed.

Look for Toronto to Host in 2011 when the construction on that ridiculous Maple Leaf Square or w/e its called that they are building to be done...

Thu Feb 02, 2006 9:22 am

Interesting choice, though it's obviously an incentive to keep the Hornets in New Orleans once they're ready to return full time.

Thu Feb 02, 2006 11:23 am

NO... wow interesting city choice

Thu Feb 02, 2006 3:13 pm

thats really good for new orleans, will help them alot to get them back on their feet after the hurricane (Y)

Thu Feb 02, 2006 3:24 pm

If you don't know, then don't speak.

It's a huge project, basically they're using the space around the ACC, SkyDome and CN Tower to build condos, retail, a hotel, offices and 'the most technologically sophisticated sports bar and restaurant ever to be built in Canada'. I haven't decided whether I like it or not yet. It would be a good place to host the All-Star game, though.

If the leafs or the raptors played there, I would wish to live right on top of that, and then just take the elevator downstairs and watch teh game.
