Google search it.

There has been 5 just so you know...
-Nate Thurmond, October 18, 1974, Chicago vs. Atlanta; 22 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists, 12 blocks
-Alvin Robertson, February 18, 1986, San Antonio vs. Phoenix; 20 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 steals
-Hakeem Olajuwon, March 3, 1990, Houston vs. Golden State; 29 points, 18 rebounds, 10 assists, 11 blocks
-Hakeem Olajuwon, March 29, 1990, Houston vs. Milwaukee; 18 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists, 11 blocks
-David Robinson, February 17, 1994, San Antonio vs. Detroit; 35 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 blocks

And I'll chime in again (well, everytime this question is asked...)

Tim Duncan almost had one vs. the Nets in the finals. He was 2 blocks shy.

I think Wilt Chamberlain would've had a few in the year that he led the league in assists.

Sun Jan 29, 2006 4:09 am

Wow, I knew there were four players that recorded quadruple doubles, but I didn't know Hakeem did it twice

Sun Jan 29, 2006 4:14 am

wow.. hakeem twice. (Y)

Sun Jan 29, 2006 4:23 am

Like Jae said, Wilt probably did it quite a few times since speculation says that he and Bill Russell blocked about 8 shots a game.

Sun Jan 29, 2006 9:16 am

Yeah, Hakeem got it a couple times. Webber's been close...

Sun Jan 29, 2006 9:45 am

 wow, hakeem did the 2 quadruple double in the same month(march 1990)

Sun Jan 29, 2006 10:01 am

Hakeem in his prime was arguably the greatest center of all time.

Sun Jan 29, 2006 11:11 am

yeah-theres now way Centers these days can do that! 10 blocks-maybe, 10 rebounds-easy, 10 points-easy, 10 Assists-nup, 10 steals-i don't think so.

All in the same game? Nup

No one's got a penta-double have they? (10+pts, 10+rbs, 10+ asts, 10+steals, 10+ blks) ???

That'd be called a quintuple double, and that's pretty much impossible. The only player in the league right now that has even the slightest chance of pulling that off has to be spectacular in all of those categories. My best bet would be Kevin Garnett, since he's as much an all around player as one can get.

Sun Jan 29, 2006 12:09 pm

I'd say Andrei Kirilenko could give it a shot on his best night.

Sun Jan 29, 2006 12:16 pm

yeah, andrei and KG...but idk about anyone else...LeBron cant do the blocks part.

Even if KG forces himself to do such a feat, it would still be extremely difficult for him. the highest number of steals on a single game is 11. It's hard to imagine KG getting more than 5. The ball handlers on the opposing team would have to jsut give up the ball to him.

is a quintiple double the highest or is there such a thing as sextiple doule :D

Sun Jan 29, 2006 1:01 pm

no

the only stats that count for that are

Points, Steals, Blocks, Rebounds, and Assists.

Sun Jan 29, 2006 2:55 pm

^ Yeah, but you could also get 10 three point shots... not that it would really 'count' for it.

agreed, he is a better stealer than garnett but can block just as well. on a side note, does anyone think ben wallace also has a good chance? for a big man, he can steal very well.

Sun Jan 29, 2006 2:59 pm

He'd probably fall short on the assists.

he'll get the assists if he just kicks it out to billups  . ya, your right thats probably the biggest knock, the assists column. for a quintiple to actually happen, EVERYTHING has to be perfect. nothing can feel wrong at all, but if that actually happens, i have a feeling an injury will fuck things up since things are too perfect.

Sun Jan 29, 2006 3:53 pm

lol wtf, kick it out to billups? yeah he sure plays for the jazz doesnt he .
