Why is kobe the mvp when his team is barely above 500? You people would ignore the cav's record and lebron's performance this year to give kobe the mvp so far? weird.

Well, think of the people who vote for the MVP... Don't a 'board' of sportswriters/analysts do that? Since NBA wants the money, might as well promote Kobe Bryant whom will make that $$$ for them...

If it was based on someone who was helping their team win, I'd go with Steve Nash.

Cavs are 2 games above the Lakers in a slightly weaker conference, Lebron isn't really making a much better case for MVP at 23-17. Kobe's team is 22-19
