I think its a waste for Indiana. The last thing Indiana needed was a softy on the defensive end. Peja's gonna produce about the same amounta points put thats about it in regards to statistical categires.

Also I am not sold on the thought of Artest fitting in well with the Kings style of basketball.

I'm thinking the pacers will get some use of Peja this season and not re-sign him next year. Or they'll do a sign and trade. Peja really don't fit in Pacers system. He can't defend. He'll probably be their 3rd scoring option.

I expected a lot more from the trade.

Same here. I expected a some significant shift in powers regarding the strong teams in the league, either for the team receiving Artest or the Pacers. I dont see any side getting much better.

Artest should be in La in my opinion, The Kings aren't the Kings anymore so this isn't the best solution for both players, Pacers will lose on defence definitley!

Not sure about Pacers, but Kings should be a potent team now assuming they can stay healthy...oh wait this is the Kings.

Peja's probably here for salary reasons as it was said before. But I guess if he surprises the Pacers and helps make them elite... (not likely IMO)... then he could stay with the team.

Seems to me like it was just a desperate trade to get rid of Ron Ron.

The Kings ran away with a steal in this trade skill-wise, but the Pacers get cap relief and rid themselves of a very volatile player.

This guy is quite a character. It seems now that we all should still consider him a Pacer.

pacers should get rid of him now. Get the deal done and don't say anything. Artest is just a mad man.

Do the team doctors check for sanity when they do the check ups? if not they should start considering it.

I dont think it was approved by league officials just yet. Plus, ESPN just reported that the Maloofs are rejecting the deal upon hearing this news.
