KOBE IS SICK !!!
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:39 pm
Unfuckingbelievable. That's going to be the headline tomorrow morning in every sports newspaper, and nobody's going to care that there's the word 'fucking' when there's 81 written all over it.

well looks like kobe is going to add to his hardware this year
Unbelivable. He might get 2 hardware if he keeps up this 35ppg+ thing AND lakers make the playoffs ( scoring title and mvp)
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:47 pm
They did have an article about the 03 Spurs Finals win, I cut out that article and stuck it on my wall because it had a picture of Timmy with the ball on his head.
So yeah, some n00b will make an article about it.
Mon Jan 23, 2006 4:05 pm
if kobe does get 100, i hope it won't be against the raptors...it took the joy out of the 81 points
Mon Jan 23, 2006 4:15 pm
Lets see him do this again next Sunday...

I want to hear the reactions from the likes of jordan, bird and other HOF's.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar:
"Elgin's game was an incredible performance, also. I don't think there's any comparison. Elgin did it without 3-point lines. His game was attacking the hoop and hitting jumpers inside 20 feet. Kobe's range is unreal, and he does it his way," Abdul-Jabbar said.
"It was a real treat. His ability to shoot from long range and also attack the hoop, split the defense and get in close for opportunities near the basket is unique. He's made a niche for himself and he deserves it."

Even if someone does manage to break Wilt's record, Wilt still occupies 32 of the 56 spots on the high scorers list (above 60 points)
Mon Jan 23, 2006 5:04 pm
haha,i really enjoy it,i love kobe
Mon Jan 23, 2006 5:08 pm
Congratulations to Kobe.
But just for y'all to ponder... even though Wilt scored 100, Kobe is a swingman and scored 81. Does that make this Kobe performance just as good as Wilt's?
Mon Jan 23, 2006 5:21 pm
Lets see he shot 28/46 from the field, 7/13 beyond the yard and 18/20 from the free throw line.
I believe 100 points is doable. Had Kobe shot more 3 pointers with more consistency say he made 13 out of 13 he'd ended up with 99 sooo yeah 100 is achievable.
Finally, Kobe has achieved a feat Michael Jordan never reached during his career. My congratulations to Kobe. He must be celebrating tonight with his wife.

Yeah, that was what I was thinking.
To me it seems a little easier to catch the ball in the post do a quick move and go for a dunk/lay up, or hook shot or shoot 5-10 foot jumpers, than dribbling past my defender, splitting double teams, pulling up for 20 foot jumpers with hands in my face, draining long 3's etc.

on a sidenote: Kobe became the first NBA player to match Wilt Chamberlain's 1964 record for scoring at least 45 points in four straight games. Michael Jordan never did it?????

Somewhere k08e4mvp is shitting his pants.
Hi
Mon Jan 23, 2006 5:29 pm
isnt that old news beau?
And yes... just wondering cause Wilt was probably the biggest guy on the court and dominated. Kobe isn't and relies on his atleticism and jump shooting... but then again, he is aided by having the three point line.
Mon Jan 23, 2006 5:30 pm
that is fucking mad!
