He could play 1 scoreless minute the next game and still average 40.5 over the 2-game span. This bastard is just unbelievable.
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:01 pm
The last part of the game was a joke.
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:03 pm
55 2nd half points. crazy.
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:04 pm
i guess he had something to prove after that 62 vs Mavs with questions marks over him.
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:07 pm
I'm surprised he only had 3 turnovers.
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:09 pm

unless you're watching the game, the game is closer than it seems.
Ok, well my bad then. I'm not watching. I don't get Laker or Raptor games here unless they're nationally televised(via ESPN or TNT).
I wish I could have saw the game.

Do any of you guys think Wilt's record will ever be broken? I wish I had the opportunity to see his 100 point night...
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:18 pm
35.9 ppg now. Not bad at all.
Regarding Wilt's record, It can be broken someday. Look at Kobe, 55 in a half so 2 or those woulda made it 110. I dont think its gonna happen anytime soon but someday someone will break it when we least expect it. I personally didnt think I would see anyone touch 74 anytime soon much less 80 so again I say anything can happen.
Who knows, we might see an even better encore.
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:19 pm
i believed for a second it could be broken, but nope. the first 60 or so points kobe threw up were pretty much effortless, the last twenty seemed like a struggle.. you could tell he was getting tired by the way he was dribbling the ball. actually let me rephrase that, there might be a chance it can be broken.. but definitely not in regulation though.. you'd need at least two overtimes to do it. i'm basing this in kobe's frantic pace, lol. he was scoring wayyy too fast.
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:21 pm
Plus you have to consider he was still 19 points short. That's quite a bit to make up.
But I must say I was thoroughly amazed, even if he didnt break it.
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:22 pm
i was watching the game where kobe has 32 or so end of half time, he missed 2 straight shots, then i went do my hw for like 10 mins, and it was near end of 3rd quarter and he had near 50 by then...
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:23 pm
1cent, that proves that homework sucks
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:24 pm

I only caught some of the 4th quarter. I had to go on campus to try and finish up a project due tomorrow. I wish I stayed for the game... I would have taken the F to see this one.
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:26 pm
he's the second player in the nba history to score the most points!
lol
He's scored the second most points in NBA history you mean?
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:28 pm
100 points, i guess it is not impossible, he wasn't that hot the last few mins, he just kept getting free throws with stupid fouls on raptors part..
my guess is that he will hit 70 points again before end of season.. it didn't look impossible, as long as he kept getting shots and make like 60% of them...
he had like wut? less than 30 first half, which is normal kobe bryant nowadays..
the dallas game tho, he seemed on fire for the 30 point quarter.. the last like 5-6 mins of the game was just lakers giving kobe 1 on 1 opportunity every trip down

Let me just say, this might be the greatest basketball related news I've received in a long long time.
Words cannot express how happy I am, so let me do it with some smilies, which I never ever use otherwise.

Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:34 pm
Absolutely unbelievable.
Come on lets see some critisism, doesn't have enough assists, only looked for his own shot, they didn't beat the Raptors by enough... what's it going to be this time?
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:35 pm
81 points..
wow
Mon Jan 23, 2006 3:35 pm
He is amazing, I'd let him rape me anyday of the week.
