That's definitley up there. There has to be a gif of that around somewhere, it was incredible.

Steve Jackson's 3 point play with Ike Diogu and Mike Dunleavy on his shoulders to ice the game against the Warriors wasn't too bad either, eh Weaver?

Didn't catch it properly. My NBA TV game highlights didn't load up ok, lagging like hell. I'll try to find that .gif for Pete's pass.

I've come to the conclusion that a large majority of your posts really piss me off.

Dr J just made that look too easy.

Watch videos of how basketball was played pre-Dr.J and it's obvious why it was a big deal. Let's not also forget he was the original free-throw line dunker, which everyone copied including Jordan.

In my book, Larry Bird made the best play ever when he took a 3 point shot (or maybe a long two), missed the shot, anticipated the location of the rebound, ran and caught the ball in mid-air with his right hand, switched to his left and laid it in the basket.. Every time I see that video my jaw drops (though I'm not sure where to find it online anymore).

I believe it was in the NBA Finals as well.

Howdy everyone. First post on this forum.

I was looking for Dr J videos on youtube.com, when I came across this:

There's some nice stuff of brent Barry in his heyday.

Yeah, that was incredible, given his "athleticism." The man never ceases to amaze me. Some of his passing rivals Magic Johnson (ok, maybe not) in terms of amazing court awareness.

not the best but my faves..iverson crossing kendall gill twice in a row backs up crosses him again, kendall falls iversons drives for the layup..iverson flys up and puts back a dunk over marcus camby one handed and hangs on his shoulders

MJ's triple clutch layup vs Nets, Penny dunking over Ewing, Pippen dunking on Kemp, Reggie hitting a 3 then stealing the inbounds pass and hitting another 3 vs Knicks, Tayshaun's block on Miller, and team mascots hitting halfcourt shots over their heads, to name a few

nice selection guys,

but i guess the move of DR. J. versus the lakers (no, not the reverse layup but... ) the cradle SLAM off a steal over Michael Cooper, should be up there.

you try it, and tell us if you can even get to the other side of a rim when you do a reverse... let alone behind the backboard on two (three?) defenders.

I have one play.. maybe no one will remember...

Its by Isiah Rider.(Minnesota).... When he jumped out of Bounds at mid Court to save a bad pass..... and threw the ball back onto the Court.. with his back to court.. and his "pass" went right in!

Ok i know its hard to explain... but maybe you know.

One other memorable play was.. Robert Horry´s Dunk in the last finals game in 05.... It was sooo awesome... As well as the 3 pointer.. minutes later... I think this moves are underated...

i also like a lot of carter stuff.... this dunk vs mourning... was sick... Thought he couldnt jump that high after his injuries...

I remember that... the backhanded bomb... (Y)

How about the play last year where the dude (can't remember who :x ) was inbounding the ball with like 2 seconds left in the half, and he bounced it off the oppenent's back, got it back and then put it in along with a foul?

Sat Jan 21, 2006 2:24 pm

Those are always funny, but i think the biggest play like that was Pippen off Ainge's back...because it was the Playoffs and it takes some **** to do that in the NBA Finals.
