Next week he'll want Ron back.

I wonder why Indiana won't trade Artest any quicker. They really have been kind of lucky to have the record that they have, and keeping Artest on the bench is just stupid. I know Donnie Walsh won't go the season without trading him, no matter what he says. I think the statement "We won't trade unless we get a desirable offer" is just bullshit on his part to keep people from thinking they can get him for nothing. Somehow though, everyone around the league has bought it.....

The Pacers have to trade him soon.... they could be looking at a 5th seed or lower

That's right, every time an insider says a deal is possible, and if I like it, I talk about how much I want that player.

I've wanted Shane Battier more then anyone else this entire time, but I haven't been talking about it because it isn't being rumored.

Axel that was such a dumb post. You think the whole league has bought it, and it isn't true? Well then how come Artest hasn't been traded yet. Moron. It is the truth. We are willing to wait as long as we have to in order to get a good trade done.

i agree with this

seems a little premature (no pun intended) to call him a star in the making though

as for this ROY talk- who cares that Paul plays more or Bogut is "closer" to him in the running. THis is like the 2nd place runner finishing only 2 minutes instead of 3 minutes behind the Marathon winner. Paul unanimously is the ROY at this point

exactly. The difference in minutes doesn;t mean that Bogut is closer to Paul. Paul plays so many minutes because he plays an almost flawless game, he's got a high IQ. Bogut get's in foul trouble and doesn't play much defence.

Diogu is a keeper, given GSW's poor frontcourt.

Doesn't play much defence? I suggest you start watching him closely... I may watch him obsessively closely, in the sense that I just stare at him while he's on the bench, but his D is good. Obviously if you're just going to be a boxscore bandit it's a different story, but even still.

Even more to the point, why is Bogut being discussed at all?

he's active with his hands and moves a lot (which would be good for zone D) but has porous man to man D and is constantly late on baseline rotations.

but again so is half the nba.... not too much of a big problem.... :D

Sun Jan 08, 2006 1:43 am

half is generous, more than half of the NBA is inadequate defensively.

lol... true, just trying to keep my manners for the everybody :D

against the bulls- Deng tried to go baseline on Bogut. Apparently Bogut beat him to the baseline and drew the charge. Not bad. I think Songalia had a drive or two on him, kinda funny actually, but I guess it's going to happen if you put him on PF's
