Which Chrismas Day game was better?

Postby dada on Mon Dec 26, 2005 9:45 am

I was debating with a friend over which was better so I decided to ask you guys what you thought and why. Simple enough right? For some reason I dont understand, he thinks the Pistons game was more entertaining.

I didn't catch the first one so the second was better. :|

Obviously the Heat vs Lakers game was more entertaining. There were plenty of connections between both teams and drama involved in that game, where as Spurs vs Pistons was just a game between two of the best teams.

Thats the reason he feels the game is better. He says that SA had a chance to show their class but Detroit showed why they were the best team by outplaying them when they need to.

Heat - Lakers by the mere fact that it was a matchup between 2 great coaches plus it was close until the second Kobe missed that 3 to tie it. Spurs - Pistons wasn't close at all for the 1st quarter and i missed the final 3 quarters because I fell asleep so I can't say much about it.

I saw some of the Pistons/Spurs game and it wasn't interesting, but the Lakers/Heat game was a lot better, especially the 3-4th quarter.

Heat and Lakers cuz it was a good scoring game that was close. Pistons raped Spurs. Goddamn Wade wasnt getting calls, but he was getting called on :(

Yeah, Wade was getting no calls. the refs were too busy whistling at the lakers. (N)
Kobe's favorite player talks about Kobe
"I think he does what he has to do," San Antonio guard Manu Ginobili said. "Of course, there's a difference between 35 and 25 shots, but he's got that ability to make every shot. Even if it's in front of two guys he jumps so high on fadeaways it doesn't matter. He's got so many resources, it's easy for him to take 35 shots. If I was his teammate, I wouldn't care."

Spurs/Pistons was VERY entertaining.. I kept getting nervous in the 2nd-3rd quarters as the Spurs would pull within 4 points - it was about a 6 point game for a solid 25 minutes, until the 4th when Detroit pulled away quite easily.

I stopped watching the Lakers/Heat game after 8 or 9 minutes into the 1st quarter.. was watching it with the guys in the family and everyone agreed that it was pretty boring (can't speak for the last 3 quarters, didn't watch!)

Heat and Lakers was like the main event in ABC so I guess they deserve the main attraction..Spurs and Pistons was a blow out and I dont want their game at all,,full of defensive concentrations!!Unlike Shaq v Kobe we must admit that theyre still bitterness on their part..But what can we say just great game mainly on the Glove...Kobe was limited for only four points in the 4th..Dwayne's dunks was awesome especially on his facial dunk against Lamar..Plus the fact the end game interview on Shaq wherein he was asked about Kobe twice and he diddnt answered it at all a simple message which was Merry Christmas to us!!
Exactly what I said!!

Spurs and Pistons wasnt that great.... I was falling alseep in the 4th quarter. The Lakers and Heat game sounded way more interesting so I would give that game the nod.
