he said for sure because kobe will absolutely positively not score 62 or outscore the Heat in the 3rd. He might but there's a slim chance , in fact the probability is 0.05%.

there is no slim chance. The chances is 0.0000000%.
1 lucky game kobe had.
Shaq won't allow that to happen in Miami.

You're not calling Kobe's 62-point game lucky, are you? Come on, I don't like Kobe at all, but that's just crap

Analysists are full of shit. Greg Anthony on ESPN halftime show said the Lakers are more athletic at the center and position and will make it hard for Shaq. Chris Mihm over Shaq... haha, what a joke...

All I am saying is Kobe will not do that to Miami. At least not on this Christmas game.

They are not that strong. C'mon guys, dont act like you havent watched the lakers lately. The lakers have won 10 of the last 13 games. Kwame and Bynum wont stop Shaq, but they will be able to make life tough for him in the paint.

Btw, matchup of the night: Phil Versus Riley
2 HOF coaches, the last time Riley coached a dynasty was when he was coaching the purple and gold. Same for Phil. Damn, God loves us Laker fans.
Kobe's favorite player talks about Kobe
"I think he does what he has to do," San Antonio guard Manu Ginobili said. "Of course, there's a difference between 35 and 25 shots, but he's got that ability to make every shot. Even if it's in front of two guys he jumps so high on fadeaways it doesn't matter. He's got so many resources, it's easy for him to take 35 shots. If I was his teammate, I wouldn't care."

Miami was unable to contain Vince or Lebron so I find no reason to believe they will have him on lockdown when he is putting up more points than those two this season.

Its not a matter of Chris Mihm outplaying Shaq one-on-one, but rather its about the Laker bigs being able to pressure him on defense. Chris Mihm isnt a monster offensively but he is a big active body who has decent lateral movement. All it takes is a couple fouls to get him sitting on the bench.

Axel Aubret wrote:This game is going to be a blowout in favor of the Heat. There is no way the Lakers can guard Shaq... who are they looking to for a stop? Bynum? Medvedenko? Mihm? Good luck...

Shaq isnt even the most dangerous player on his team. Its not like he is putting up 40pts and 20rbs every night. I would be more worried about not allowing Wade to go on a scoring spree. I wouldnt mind too much if the Heat focused on getting Shaq the ball because I have noticed that it has been affecting Wade's performance. Dwayne seems less involved while his numbers have dropped and that is a bad thing for Miami.

I believe the Lakers have a excellent chance at winning this game. They are playing well together and Kobe has not been turning over the ball as much as he used to. They are playing efficient on offense and are very active on defense. As long as they contain Wade then they have a shot at winning the game. I dont understand how some can say how horrible this Lakers team is when they have better records than many other teams which people hold in high regards. I believe they are a postseason contender who other teams should not take lightly (teams including the Miami Heat).

Shaq doesn't need to be the most dangerous player on his team. All he really needs to do is command attention and free up others for shots. Wade did great during Shaq's first few games back, putting up 30 + nightly. His numbers have went off a bit in the last few though, but does it really matter? Except in the New Jersey game, they have been winning, and in one of his lesser games (against Atlanta) they crushed the Hawks throughout the entire game. I think Wade knows his role and can work well with Shaq. They worked well together all last year and I expect it to be the same this year.

I'm 90% sure that's what every opposing team that plays Miami says to themselves. "Ah, we've got big bodies, we'll throw them at Shaq & make him get into foul trouble, piece of cake I tell you." Yeah, that's always worked.

Shaq isnt even the most dangerous player on his team. Its not like he is putting up 40pts and 20rbs every night.

I don't really think people get this all too well. He doesn't have to. We know Shaq isn't the most un-lazy person in the world, so if he doesn't have to do something in order to win, he won't do it. He does what's needed to win. What's with the accentuation on the fact that he doesn't drop 40 & 20? Why should he exert himself when he doesn't have to?

I believe they are a postseason contender who other teams should not take lightly (teams including the Miami Heat).

Sorry, I'm a big Laker fan and all, but did you manage to keep a straight face while writing that when a team called the San Antonio Spurs popped into your head? Honestly, were you able to keep a straight face?

Nevermind, I know the logic already.

"Ah, we've got Chris Mihm & other versatile big men ( ? ), we'll just throw them at Duncan, not let Manu or Parker get on a scoring spree and that's all. Kobe'll drop 90 points on SA and yeah, we'll be the pwn."

Upsets happen all the time in the playoffs (even the Lakers know that). All you have to do is get in to have a chance at winning in the playoffs. Who knows who will win anything but if history has its way then it would be that San Antonio will probably not win the championship because they did not win in any of the following years when they won their last 3. I am not a big fan of history but there are so many teams out there with the ingredients to win the championship that there is no way for me to say SA will knock off any team they face in the West, or even that the Lakers will win. Additionally, there is still the possibility that the Lakers can pick up a valuable player to add some much needed depth to their roster. Any team can beat another on any given day, just ask Atlanta.
Also, who have you heard saying Kobe should go score 90? I was also not saying that the Lakers should just throw players at any good big man they face, all I am saying is that they have good enough bigs that they wont just get bullied around all day long. People seem to underestimate the defensive capabilities of the Lakers. They have been playing good, solid defense all season long (top 10). Being pessimistic has never gotten anybody anywhere so all I can really do is sit here and watch how things play out this season.

I root for Lakers. I hate fat guys who talk too much.

Also, the question of who's better is already answered. When Kobe was as old as Wade is now, he had a 30ppg season and was already a complete player who won championships (with worse supporting cast than Miami has now) both on offense and defense. Wade is neither. He doesn't have a jumpshot and he's a gambler on defense. Even Payton said that he doesn play a lot of D on his man. It's funny how nobody mentioned that both Wade and Kobe played without Shaq in the beginning of this season. Wade obviously had better players around him. Guess who had better record?

It's all nice & well to go if this & if that...

To be super optimistic isn't too much of a good thing either. Stick to reality. If you think LA has a shot at the Trophy, you sir are sadly, sadly mistaken & find yourself currently residing on Michael Jackson's Never Never Ranch.

Kobe scored over 60 once.
That's just one in a shitload of games. There is no way in hell he will match that or even come close to matching it the next game, if EVER. Jeesh. It's simple probability.

Where is the vote for "Shaq will kill Kobe and Phil Jackson, put their heads on a stick and eat them, resulting in happiness for the 70% of the population that hates Kobe and/or Phil Jackson. The game result? Who cares."

Go Heat.
Damn Australian TV for not showing it. (IF anyone from Australia knows where it's showing, tell me NOW. I have Foxtel btw.)
Bored.

48:53 at halftime for Heat. 24 points for Bryant. I have a feeling he's going to get fifty in this one...

No Australian channel is showing it...nor are any foxtel cable channels...from what I've looked at. So even though I have a plasma high def tv and a super large (not sure if it's hi def) tv, both of them will not show the Heat game. :(
