i think a better question would be who is the bigger match up?
Phil vs. Riley?
Kobe vs. Shaq?
Kobe vs. Wade ?

I think Kobe and Wade should be a interesting match up. Up and coming superstar vs. a current superstar
The whole Kobe and Shaq thing is slowly just getting old, but Wade and Kobe hmmm, sounds fun

I think they will all hug at midcourt , put animosity aside and the game will be called off. :)

Seriously the heat are going to win.

This game is going to be a blowout in favor of the Heat. There is no way the Lakers can guard Shaq... who are they looking to for a stop? Bynum? Medvedenko? Mihm? Good luck...

Going with the Heat. The only chance the Lakers have is if Kobe gets on fire like he did vs. the Mavs the other night.

Even then, Riley'd probably do a better defensive job on him.

Unless Kobe pulls another 62 point game, I don't see much chance for the Lakers. Besides, I find the matchup a little too hyped.

It's not gonna happen against Miami with Shaq back in the lineup...attacking the basket w/ Dampier/Nowitzki isn't the same as attacking vs Shaq/Mourning.

If the Lakers win it will be because the rest of the team steps up...and the rest of the team has been in a collective slump lately.

well if the Nets-Heat game is anything of a preview for the upcoming showdown between miami and LA, a miami win may not come as easy as most people think. if bryant brings his A game and has anything close to the offensive performance carter put on today (and thats definitely more than possible... if the heat were unable to contain carter, who's to say whether or not they'll be able to keep kobe down on christmas), and someone like odom or smush really steps up, i'm gunning for a lakers win. it'll be a close game though, i'm thinking LA-105 Miami-100. granted carter does have a better supporting cast in the nets than kobe does in the lakers, but look at the stats; aside from carter jkidd was the only other person to score in double figures. hopefully that happens, but if kobe goes cold that day it'll basically be a blow-out :P

I pick the team with the 10th best record overall so far this season. The lakers of course. (Y) (Y) (Y)

Who would've thought we would be the 6th seed in the west right now?
Kobe's favorite player talks about Kobe
"I think he does what he has to do," San Antonio guard Manu Ginobili said. "Of course, there's a difference between 35 and 25 shots, but he's got that ability to make every shot. Even if it's in front of two guys he jumps so high on fadeaways it doesn't matter. He's got so many resources, it's easy for him to take 35 shots. If I was his teammate, I wouldn't care."

did you forget what personal fouls are? i bet Kobe is going to drive to often to the basket and Shaq will foul him and with that said he'll be out of the game.
