graphics - PC issue

I had 2005 before and the graphics were great. Everything on details setting were set to high and max. Now for 06, if i dont get have things on off or low, when i play a game, the scren starts getting flashy. But when i do a individual practice everythings fine. it is only during a game.

I was told my laptop has better graphic card thingys than my desktop, and ive been playing live with my laptop. and graphics do look a lot better. So when i installed 06 into the desktop, i dont get any of the flashy stuff. It looks all normal, just not so good graphics cuz well the card not as good.

here are more specifics:
512MB PC-2700 333MHz DDR (256MB x 2 - Expandable up to 1GB)
Intel® Centrino™ Mobile Technology
Processor- Intel® Pentium® M Processor 730 (1.60GHz1, 2MB L2 Cache)
80GB 4200rpm Ultra ATA

also under detail settings, i am not allowed to change the lighting option. it is on off and the arrows to change it to on, are not lit up so it stays off.

alright here something wierd. im sorry im replying to my own post guys. Things are better now. Sometimes its ok, sometimes its not. Right now my settings are

Lighting: off
reflections: low
crowd: on
bright: 50
game resolution (1024x768x32) - I have to choose this cuz anything smaller, the screen is real small an hard to see court well)
texture filter :bilinear
triple buffer: off
v-sync: off
player detail: low
bench players: high
environment: high

the only things that flash are, for example for spurs court, the san antion spurs words under the basket, and the spurs logo near the paint. thanks again

i'm really sorry if this is breaking a rule to keep updating my post every now and then, but i made another discovery. Each court has its own "flashing" issue which is different. For example, like i said spurs, only the eam logo near the paint and the words under the basket are flashing. For golden state and houston, the entire court flashes. with the all star court, only the all star logo near the paint flashes. with the bulls only the words chicago bulls by the basket flashes.

i hope this is specific enough to help think of the problem. thanks and sorry again.

The same thing happens on my laptop, the court flashes which didn't happen with live 2005.

I found my video card. It's Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family. Hope htis helps.

I also had that problem with an Intel chipset which has built-in graphics. I solved the problem by updating my graphics card driver. Here's how I solved that flashing court issue:

1. Download the latest driver of your Intel graphics card model from Intel. I supposed you already know where to find and download the driver.
2. Uninstall the old graphics driver by going to:

System Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> Display Adapters, then expand the display adapters menu. Select Intel(R) 915GM/GMS... right click on it then select Uninstall.

3. Reboot your computer.
4. Go to the folder where you saved your newly downloaded Intel graphics card driver and run the executable.
5. Reboot your computer after the installation has finished.
