4 home loses in a row
6-7 at home
7-12 overall
Peja bad shooting
Webber traded
Christie traded
Bobby Jackson traded
are the kings feeling the heat now for trading Chris Webber whos putting up 20/10 still?
Is Peja a bad go to guy? He seems to struggle under pressure. Like right now he is still stuggling and the heat is on him and bibby being the leaders of the team.
or is it the addition of the never been to the playoffs addition- Shareef Abdur-Rahim?
anther weird thing is that there
center (miller)= team leader in assist
point guard(bibby)= scoring leader
shooting guard(bonzi)= rebound leader
Fri Dec 09, 2005 4:55 pm
Peja can't create his own shot for shit and when he's not scoring he's useless. Webber is doing good in Philly but his contract is too big.
Kings don't have much depth. The loss of Evans and Songaila hurt them more than they think, and Cuttino was also pretty good.

Mr Softy lmao.
Those rumors of him coming to Chi-Town better not amount to anything.

That's what you get when you have Peja as go to guy.

The biggest thing now is that the Kings’ no defense mentality is being exploited.
Unlike Phoenix which can run and gun successfully because they constantly attack the rim the Kings are too much of a finesse team...
Seriously it's not like Peja is going to throw down a nasty dunk every game a la Marion...
On a side note... I still stand by the fact that the Webber trade was a good trade. C-Webb scores 20 but gives up just as much. He is so erratic with his outside shooting that it's also not rare to see him go 4-15 one game and 10-15 in another (okay 10-15 is a major exaggeration...).

LMAO that's a nice stat, I never noticed that. Well, I knew Brad Miller can pass and Bonzi is a good rebounder for an SG, but I didn't expect them to actually lead the team.
As far as a PG being the team's scoring leader, that's not too weird these days anymore..

What happened with 'Reef's rebounding? And did Vlade's passing really do that much for Peja?
Sat Dec 10, 2005 12:22 am
I think the passing system really helped Peja a lot as far as getting him open shots.
Also, I don't think the chesmitry between the new guys and the regular guys is any good.
Kings needed a defensive SG ala Christie and passing big men like Divac not SAR and Bonzi.

When Reef appeared to be headed for Jersey, I made an argument that this exact thing would happen to him, and lots of people jumped on me because they thought I was making a homer argument against the Nets since people were saying that with Reef they would be better then the Pacers. I hate to say I told ya'll so.
Is Peja a bad go to guy? Only the worst go to guy in the NBA.

Well, Peja used to play pretty well when Webber was out of the lineup with the busted knee, 2 years ago. My guess is the Kings just aren't athletic or intense enough to compete in the west. They have a glut of tweeners at the PF spot that would make the Layden NY teams proud.
Maybe Shareef has some bad chuchu in him...
Sat Dec 10, 2005 4:35 pm
How about the rumors from the "always right and correct" source of RealGM...Peja for Artest swap?
Anyways, the Kings are an unbalanced team. That won't get them far in the West.
Sat Dec 10, 2005 4:56 pm
Peja is not a "go to guy." All he can do is shoot. He can't create any shots for himself. He's not a great ball dribbler or a cutting to the basket guy, so he's got no post game. He has to rely on his shooting, and when that's not going for him, he's got no other options. I would say Bibby is the main guy on the team. The team misses Webber, and as much as i like to say that Webber is overpaid old man, the Kings had a good chemistry going.

time for another dynasty to break down their walls and start from scratch
Mon Dec 12, 2005 3:04 am
Well, they had a spectacular game last night beating Seattle by 19 points. .
Wells with 31 points, Bibby with 24 and Peja with 23 but Miller still had 10 assists

.
Mon Dec 12, 2005 3:43 am
crazy stats.
anyways, it'd be good to get rid of Peja and bring in a defensive player or 2. The other 4 starters can carry the offensive load.

That was Seattle!

But Brad Miller's a good passer too.

He is so erratic with his outside shooting
That's the thing with Webber, instead of going for post up moves he settles for jump shots. Softy. Good thing he's doing well with the Sixers (for now).
Peja is a softy but a great shooter (only). If I had to choose between an open Nowitzki or Peja for the game winner, I'd take Peja.

I wouldn't. Actually, I would just prepare for the next game and take the loss

Yeah he is.
Anyway, the Kings were just an overall better team with all the great passing they did with Divac and Christie there.
