Nah, he's a bench player right now. Too much of a vet, I think. Udonis should get more minutes, while sending Zo in when the D is needed.

I'd say it should depend on the enemy...
If the enemy team is strong on the frontcourt, yea bring in the two at the start. If not, alternate.
Bored.

He should be in the bench. Let Haslem continue to develop the PF position.

he might deserve it, but there is no chance in hell he should get it

he is way too unfit to be able to start every game in the season and still be good for the finals, he should come off the bench and combine with shaq like they have been doing so that when finals come around they're both still fit.

It wouldn't surprise me if Shaq comes off the bench for a game or two after his return. It's been great to see Mourning play as well as he has been and back in the starting lineup and all, but I think the Heat would be better off starting Shaq, no doubt about it. Mourning has shown he can still be a starter in the league and deserves credit for the job he's been doing but Shaq should be starting at centre.

I wouldn't mind seeing Zo starting at power forward at least a few times, or at least on the court at the same time as Shaq but that leaves the Heat a little shorthanded at centre when they go to their bench.

I don't really think the NBA's leading shotblocker should be relegated to the bench.

Imo he deserves it, it's such a waste if he gets benched, and his NBA-best blocks per game will eventually decrease... Start him @ PF!

My thoughts exactly not to mention hes leading the team in rebounding. In my honest opinion Zo has proven he can still handle long minutes and can still play both ends of the court for big plays. I like Haslem's hussle but I seriously think with Zo at starting PF you will have a stronger defending team in the key and have 2 strong options to pass it into the low post on the offensive end. Until Zo shows signs of weakness in either fitness or health he should still be a starter even at PF.

Stan Van Gundy should test Alonzo Morning at PF, along with Shaq at C for a few games...if it does not work then just let Haslem start at PF.

Well, the Heat aren't exactly blowing teams away, and maybe Shaq's prescence would have a bigger impact than Alonzo's blocks and thus, generating wins. If that doesn't happen, then I'd point the finger at one of the two players with the last name that starts with 'W'

Yeah, if the Heat can Trade Haslem for R. Wallace because unless you play Shaq & Zo together against the right team at the right time they will get ran off the court, I'd have my big guys running the floor all game and the way alot elite teams have quicker big men coming off the bench too, oh boy!!! In theory and against the right opponent or spot minutes on the floor it is a good stagedy especially if the other team plays to the Heats advantage and not their own.

Zo at PF for me. I always thought thats where they should have put him a long time ago alongside shaq but for some reason that never materialized. Udonis will still get good minutes coming off the bench cuz either shaq or zo is bound to get in foul trouble at some point.

Both players stats are pretty much even, except for Zo's blocks. The minutes are similar, and the rebounds and points too. The shooting percentages are fairly different, Zo shooting 57% and Udonis 50%. Udonis shoots great FTs with 86% right now, while Zo only has a 57%.

IMO, Haslem is much fitter physically to start at the 4. Zo could provide hustle off the bench, while getting the minutes he deserves.

Off the bench. It'll give the Heat more depth with their 2nd squad. He could be their leading sub for the 4 and 5 position.

Haslem does a great job hitting the open shot when Shaq is double teamed. I don't think Zo could do that. Haslem will only get better when Shaq comes back.

I would have Zo play both center and PF off the bench. The Heat still have Doleac for the other minutes who has done a pretty good job when called on.
