Help find consistent Wizards line-up

I'm a HUGE Wizards, and I don't know how many of you follow them but their lineup and subsitutions are as random as the lottery. Eddie Jordan is a terrific coach, and this is not to bash him, but he seems to have no idea how to play his new found depth. Maybe he's reading this as you are, so vote on a lineup and tell why. If you have another lineup please throw it in

I voted the first one, mainly because of Antonio Daniels starting and Butler being on the bench. To me CB is a great player to have as your go-to-guy of the second unit.

I confess, i haven't mastered proofreading

I kind of agree with your lineup, but its tempting to see how fast the Wizards could jump out in the beginning of the game with Arenas and Butler

I like the last one, Ethan Thomas would be a nice addition to the starting five. Plus, I prefer AJ playing SF. (Y)

Ditto... it's the strongest combination, but chemistry-wise, I wouldn't know because I don't follow the Wizards.

Jamison at PF is a big no-no, in my opinion.

I liked the last one with Etan Thomas. Everytime I see him play, he owns the boards.

Looks like a good line-up, but honestly.. I don't know because I don't follow the Wizards.

Arenas, Jarvis Hayes, Jamison, Jeffries, Haywood

I like that one simply because it's got Jarvis Hayes in it.

Anyway, the last one seems like a lineup that would definitely kill any team on the boards, but they'd lack some size off their bench.

I voted for the third cause I really like Hayes and his defense. Butler could be a great sub, covering both SG and SF. But It's pretty close at PF, I couldn't decide myself. Maybe Jeffries plays more confident when starting, otherwize I'd pick Thomas.

So I'd go for
Arenas, Hayes, Jamison, Thomas, Haywood

Arenas has to start playing more of a point guard role than scoring shooting guard, I still think he has ways to go before he should be regarded as a top 5 point guard cause right now he's still a shooting guard with good passing skill but he lacks true PG IQ and thats hurting the Wizards and it will hurt them in the long run.

As for the lineup Id have to go with Arenas - Butler - Jenna Jameson - Jefferies - Hardwood.

Jenna Jameson - Jefferies - Hardwood

I think those two always go together in the game. It's like a duo.

Stevesanity has the best lineup based on effective point production (over average player) per 40 minutes...(last year...difference from last year)

Arenas: +6.9 (+5.9...+1.0)
Butler: +4.0 (+0.4...+3.6)
Jeffries: -0.5 (-1.9...+1.4)
Jamison: +4.4 (+1.6...+2.8)
Haywood: +0.7 (+0.3...+0.4)

Hayes: -1.8 (-2.8...+1.0)
Thomas: -2.1 (-3.9...-1.8)
Atkins: -3.1 (-1.1...-2.0)
Ruffin: -6.4 (-6.6...+0.2)
Daniels: -6.7 (+3.1...-9.8)

Daniels has been one of the biggest FA busts...and I have no idea why he's doing everything worse...shooting percentage has fallen from 56% to 43%...turnover rate from 6.8 to 11.4...usage rate from 22.2 to 12.9...rebound rate from 5.1 to 3.1...PER from 18.08 to 7.87...he's almost 10 effective points worse than last season per 40 minutes and six and a half points per game (was +2.1 per game, now -4.3 per game)...

To appreciate Daniels, you gotta watch the games. Daniels sets up the offense whereas Arenas would just fly off to the bucket and take a pretty bad shot. Daniels sets up other players very well and makes smart plays.

Definitely not a bust, he wasn't brought in to score, he was brought in because of his high basketball IQ. He's a VERY smart basketball player

Well, the last two years Daniels was fantastic but this year he's been terrible. Perhaps he does set up the other players (leads the team in assist ratio...but not assist %) well, but he's still shooting 43% overall and 33% from the floor. 45% of his possessions lead to zero points. Only Ruffin (46%) has more wasted possessions.

He's a bust to me and probably everyone else because we expected to come in and play like a top 15 (or higher) point guard again and instead he's been the worst point guard in the league to see major minutes. (Kevin Ollie, Jason Hart and Orien Greene don't even see half as many minutes...Hart's another FA bust thus far...for much of the same reasons massive shooting% drop, and big increase in turnovers...)

Maybe its just me, but its hard to label someone a bust 10 games into the season. Give him a little more time.

Also its kind of hard for Daniels to get into the flow of the game when he has NO idea how the rotation is going. I mean, one game he's starting then another he plays waterboy. WTF

Its frustrating not knowing who's going to step in and contribute with Arenas and Jamison
