3 pointers are forbidden

ok in all star mode i had damon jones(87 on 3's)and t mac(80 somethn) i took about 2003399488 3 attempts and missed about
2003399488.i cant make any 3s at all?i checked the sliders

Maybe you just suck as 3pointers, have you thought of that? #pointers are pretty simple in this game, even in Allstar or superstar difficulty. just release the shot at the highest pont of the jump.

it is on the default for all star, what should it be on for best results

I never had problems hitting 3s...almost the opposite..

... i only had that problem when i started playing way back.. after a few days, its all good

Go to the all star weekend and practise shooting 3's in the 3 point comp.


The indevidual practise don't help. You can shoot a 3 there with you're eyes closed and hit it.

Shoot when the player has reached the peak of his jump. I never have had a problem hitting an open three this way.

if your player isnt open, you probly wont hit it. wait till you get an open shot.

release the shoot button at the peak of your jump.

you dont know how to release on time. try practicing with good shooters in individual practice. try peja, barry, redd, or korver. are you using a pc? maybe your pc's slow. if that's the case, there's a lag in your release. just experiment with quick releases or releasing at the peak.

It's all worthless if you take only 3pointers where the opponent jumps right in front of your player. He may not block the shot, but it's enough to irritate your shooter. By the way: this is one of the greatest gameplay improvements EA has made this year. In 2005, contesting shots was almost useless.

in 2005 it wasnt, you could actually block a shot, not just put them off. in 06, its impossible (almost) to block shooting
