will be tough for either to make it

Iverson
LeBron
Wade

are 3 certain all-stars due to their high volume of popularity. Only space for one more...unless they change lebron to a F since that's what he has been playing.
Arenas, Hamilton or Billups, who would you prefer?

Mon Nov 14, 2005 3:11 pm

wtf are you talking about?

wrong thread?

was stating the competition they up against if they wanna make the all-star team..

Mon Nov 14, 2005 10:04 pm

oh ok
there is always competition for every spot.
carter, arenas, wade, hamilton for sg - but hamilton is shooting the lights out atm, and if he continues, he is a sure thing.
the problem is, its WAY to early for the allstar team to be set in stone (except for a few spots of course)

The coaches pick the bench of course...i wonder if Brown will give the backcourt a vote each.

Billups goes for 25 & 10 tonight.....he single handedly got Detroit back from a 9pnt 3rd quarter deficit. And then Detroit crapped on Boston with a 38-19 4th quarter...Milicic played 5 mins and scored 4pnts, 3 reb. Overall a good performance from everyone. Even when Billups was benched in the 4th Arroyo picked up the slack and scored a cpl of jumpers and dished assits.

7-0....

Chauncey made some amazing plays in the 3rd quarter- I have to agree with the commentators and say it was the best quarter I've seen from him ever since he came to Detroit. The game was so thrilling, I tried to study a little while watching but the second half was so exciting (at least for us Detroit fans :p) that I couldn't help myself.

Pistons starters score 95 points tonight, including 50 from the backcourt... the NBA needs to take Doc Rivers' advice and get some more players from the Pistons in the all-star game!

That Billups 3rd Quarter was ridiculous....he had 14, 15 consecutive points? He faked Delonte West hard and then got the 3 point play on him twice. Amazing..this is the best ball Billups is playing in his career. He had a 6.6 A/TO average which is ridiculous given he's averaging 9.3apg.......per 48mins only Nash averages more assists.

billups is one of the scariest clutch performers in the league right now. and when he's on fire, detroit is virtually unbeatable against anyone not named san antonio. reminds me of sam cassell in a way, but better looking, ugh, close call.

check out these funny comments from Rosen on tonights game

There were two particular plays that would never have transpired in Larry Brown's watch: When Billups couldn't quite control a defensive rebound, he literally punched the ball downcourt where Prince had a step on Raef LaFrentz -- a wild, and risky maneuver that would have caused Brown to lapse into convulsions. Fortunately for Detroit, the ball was deflected out-of-bounds by LaFrentz.

Imagine how Brown would have reacted in the fourth quarter when Arroyo triggered a 3-on-2 fastbreak only to hoist up a 20-foot jumper. Even though the ball split the net, Arroyo would have been yanked to the bench so quickly that he would have wound on the injured list with a bad case of whip-lash.

lol, that's some amusing shit.

so far, if billups hasnt been hitting his shot - prince or hamilton has

against kings for example, prince got 19pts in the 3rd only missing 1 shot, which is just fucking amazing, and ended up on something crazy like 10-11 for the night

hamilton was shooting 60% since last 2 games, not sure about now but geez.... 60%!!!

Thu Nov 17, 2005 8:25 pm

well, yeah, if all three are on fire, the more the merrier.

rip is good for three quarters, undependable in the clutch. prince makes the little thing big play you don't expect, but kinda do, but don't know how he'll do it. billups, you know the pistons want the ball in his hands with the game in the line every time.

well he's kinda going against that this season, having some big 4th Q's. In playoffs though he's good too, but really 4th Q is Billups show.

yeh, he only shot a goal with 0.8seconds left to win the game by 1... hes really undependable. i wish i was that undependable.

Fri Nov 18, 2005 8:08 am

rip is good in the clutch. When get that pick he can launch it and hit it...similar to that guy on the pacers who retired

Fri Nov 18, 2005 10:57 am

reggie miller

i put my votes in for allstar weekend

Boy you must have never heard of his college career.
He was a sheer killer in the fourth quater in all his NCAA tourney years.

Fri Nov 18, 2005 5:03 pm

yeah, well christian laettner was the first player ever to start in four consecutive final fours. whats your point.

Fri Nov 18, 2005 7:45 pm

that Hamilton is clutch....didn't he basically win it for Connecticut? a shot over Battier and Brand?

Fri Nov 18, 2005 9:47 pm

just because michael jackson was black ten years ago doesnt mean he's black now.

Fri Nov 18, 2005 10:26 pm

lol, but he was white 10yrs ago.

P.S anyone see Delfino's reverse jam last week....that was kinda like Kobe does them.

no. that huge upset was due to a variety of factors. particularly ricky moore's defense on langdon, who had 2 big TO's in the end. or voskhul/uconn's swarming defense on elton brand

I was directing it more at the Washington game where he hit the shot fading and falling on his ass.

what game

Sun Nov 20, 2005 2:09 am

not sure, but it was a real nice throw down....dude can play, i'm not sure how he'll fit in with Detroit, but in 3yrs, somewhere in this league he'll be a pretty good player

8-0 and winning whilst playing bad. Dallas tomorrow, i think it'll be a win.
