Reebok Swingman NBA Jerseys

Postby Fitzy on Mon Nov 14, 2005 9:58 am

Here are a few questions:

1)Does anyone have one, are they good quality/worth the money?
2)Are the numbers and name that screenprinted shit or what?
3)Wheres a good place to buy them? Somewhere like Amazon?
4)Is it possible to personalise them?

1) They are very good quality, much better than the Nike stitched NBA jerseys and I think they are worth the money.
2) The names and numbers are stitched, not screen-printed like the Reebok Replica jerseys. This is the real deal. Unless you want 100% official NBA, get the Appearal or w/e they are called. But the Swingman jerseys are basically 99% official. So they are very very good, almsot real, your cants really tell the difference between Swingman and Official.
3) Footlocker, Athlete's World, Champs, Sportcheck bascially those stores.
4) yes, but probably only if you order from the official Reebok online store. Unless you somehow get the letters and numbers and sew them on yourself.

The difference is the material. They only use mesh for the jerseys. So a Denver or Golden State swingman won't be all shiny.

Swingmans are just like official NBA jerseys only they have the reebok logo on the left side near the chest and the shoulders are smaller than the replicas.

BTW... chezzy62, those are the offical jerseys but you can personallize it, the swingman is something very close to that.

Dont get the NBA jerseys because they cost a lot more than SWINGMAN jerseys and the only difference is the material, I mean id doesnt really matter unless you get like denver, miami, toronto, seatle or w/e jerseys

okay there are three types of NBA jerseys...
"replicas" (about $30 USD) are horrible pieces of garbage and are a waste of money.
"swingman" (about $70 USD) jerseys are the middle of the three... the jerseys usually have a few differences from the real life jerseys, which may include the trim, material, or collars. usually the numbers/letters are sewn around edges. I would suggest buying swingman throwback jerseys
"authentic" (about $150 USD) jerseys are the closest to real jerseys you can get. using the best materials, this jersey has all letters & numbers sewn in.

I suggest looking on ebay for great deals.. I've managed to buy 3 authentic jerseys for less than $40 each
keep looking back for a jersey you like in your size

Here in Australia we have something like Swingmans
http://www.dplayground.com/
Thats a link to a store which stocks them in Australia. just go to catalogue.
The range is limited to "popular" players that are known here.
I would grade these jerseys as much better than a replica and not too far off swingman.

Mate at least with the Reebok replicas the screenprinting stays on longer than the old Champion ones. God they were awful.
