Nope, it's "slamduck cotents".

Ummm what?

VC over Weis in the olympics . DR.J rocking the Cradle against LA . Personaly , the most overrated dunk is Jordan tip-toeing the baseline and dunking on Ewing . I understand it was in the moment , but it wasn't that special . When Pippen dunked on Ewing , I thought that dunk was better then MJ's.

This is a pointless thread, all the cool dunk videos are in the Video Link Thread

you mean the one where jordan goes to the post, gets doubled, goes back to baseline, runs through defenders and dunks on some dude?

That "some dude" was man-bast Patrick Ewing, who had told Jordan after he had dunked on John Starks the previous time down the court, "Dunk on someone your own size." Jordan answered the call.

Vinsanity over Weis... It's absolutely the craziest thing ever done in a basketball game... How do you jump OVER a 7'2" guy??? And he goes straight over the guy... It's not even an in your face dunk, it's an over your face dunk... I've watched the clip over and over again, but it just looks so surreal that it ain't happening for real! And it's a game play dunk and not a dunk contest dunk... Nothing can compete with that, nothing...
Thu Nov 10, 2005 9:59 pm
He didn't jump over him. He shoved Weis' head under his legs to make it look cool, otherwise it would've just been an awesome facial.
EDIT: Check it out for yourselves

If he doesn't force his head under his legs I'm not here.

I don't care how you go over a guy that is 2,25 meters tall... If you go over him, it's a whole other issue than posterizing him with a facial... A totally different thing.
Shawn Bradley has had a dunk slammed on his face on numerous occations and he's like 2,35 meters tall, but no body hasn't jumped over him for a dunk!
It's just incredible... Jae, you go do it and if you can, I won't be impressed with Carters dunk anymore... I'll just be wondering why you are not playing in the NBA???

Metsis no offence but your post made absolutely no sense at all. Please retype it in a legible fashion and I will reply.

Ignore that, I read it about 10 times and I sort of get it.
I'm not saying it's not impressive, of course it is. And I've got no problems with it being called the greatest dunk ever. Doesn't mean it wasn't an offensive foul. I love watching it regardless.

Yes I mean that dunk . It's highly ovverrated , its an excellent dunk , no doubt , but I have a problem with it being top 3 in like every "top 10 dunks of all time" list I see . And people overhype the dunk.
Thu Nov 10, 2005 10:38 pm
I think part of it is the move Jordan does before the dunk (if it's the dunk I'm thinking about) Where he drives baseline, stops, dribbles back out towards the three then spins baseline and leaves his man in the middle of nowhere.

didn't that happen in Salt Lake City against the Utah Jazz?
I think that dunk from Starks in the 93 playoffs against
the bulls was a very overatted dunk.

I have a framed picture of that in my room.
Anyway, I vote for any dunk from the NCAA, like James White's FT-line between the legs, Patrick Ewing Jr.'s behind the back, Isma'il Muhammad over Engin Atsur, etc. etc.

all dunks get overrated, have you guys seen Slamnation?
thats crazy, doing handstands -flip then dunk jumping over guys,
one legged jump off then 360 dunk over 3standing guys, etc etc
WHat about the Slamnation VS And1 dunkoff? that was straight legend
that white dude from slamnation was straight killing it. looks like he was on Roids
Flight brothers are pretty cool as well.
James White and David Lee was the ultimate punch, what happened to JWhitey
Remember, on the Slamnation dunks, some guys be dunking twoballs at once, and so nicely that they get both the ball stuck in the rim. IN the rim
and the on Flight Bros, this guy went up with two balls,
and Dunked one while windmilling the other home AT THE SAME TIME.
the slamnation WhiteDude did the vince elbow dunk.
and plenty of between legs dunk as well.
crazy sick, but only dunk that really cemented VC as the DunkKing
was the one over Freddy Weis.
just so ya know, Freddy retired from basketball shortly after that.
wonder why
Fri Nov 11, 2005 12:28 am
And- Mj dunked over stockton,
then Karl Malone said pick on sumbudy your on size.
then the next play itself Jordan dunked on him.
just to get the story straight
sorry for double postin, my mistake

James White transfered to Cinci and is still in college, senior year.

He is actually still playing pro ball, just not in the NBA.

It was actualy somebody in the stands who
yelled that to MJ and then MJ dunked on this big
guy (not karl malone) and he then looked at the
fan and told him "was he big enough?".
But Karl Malone told the story tough
Fri Nov 11, 2005 2:44 am
Yeah, the guy in the stands was the owner/gm/coach/something along those lines of the Jazz.
Fri Nov 11, 2005 6:08 am
VC's windmill alley-oop is pretty nice
some french black guy once did a armpit in the rim dunk...that was cool
of course VC > Weis is a great one...
and a good 360-between-the-legs dunk is always fun too

MJ on pat has to be my favourite dunk ever. i think what makes it so great is not the dunk itself, but the moments leading up to the dunk. he fakes left on starks (i think) but then goes right.. he meets oakley, who with starks double teams in and traps him along the baseline.. mike fakes left once more, then drives right goes up and dunks on pat ewing plus the foul.
scottie pippen dunking on patrick ewing was pretty nasty too, straight power and determination + the staredown after.
t-mac's all star game dunk was pretty cool too.. innovative, as i've never seen anyone pull that off during a game before.
