I know who's not for sure. Peja Stokovic. Wait a minute. Something is not quite correct here, but I can't put my finger on it.....

Michael Redd certainly has gotten the most attention so far this season, but I think that Ray Allen is still the best shooter.

Fred Hoiberg last year.

Michael Redd this year.

...there was an article on espn.com talking about how Hoiberg could be considered the best shooter of ALL TIME. Last year Hoiberg was lights out all year and he would have won the 3pt contest if it wasn't for the stupid NBA rules saying you have to attempt a certain amount of 3's.

Last year, Hoiberg was 70-145 from 3 point range. That is almost 50%. He was also deadly from inside the arc too.

Michael Redd!! :D

Hummm... Dirk Nowitzky, anyone? How do you stop a 7 footer that shoots fallaway threes in your face and makes them?

Thu Nov 10, 2005 9:11 am

You make him work on D

I'd say Allen.

put an athletic, long armed forward like shawn marion on dirk. worked in the playoffs. dirk quite often settled for those crappy fadeways from mid-to-long range

ray allen

Ray Allen. (Y)

Ray Ray.....with Manu coming second

Thu Nov 10, 2005 3:06 pm

gotta give it to mr. shuttlesworth

give him just a little opening and he'll make you pay
perfect example was against wally szczerbiak.. guy was playing him aggressively, and thought that the kandiman was gonna help him out by doubling him so he froze for a little bit. allen pulled the ball back with a crossover and drained a 3.

last years performance against sactown was pretty impressive as well.

michael redd comes in 2nd for me

Thu Nov 10, 2005 3:10 pm

Ray Allen 8-)

Thu Nov 10, 2005 4:15 pm

milicic isnt up there....

had to go with ray allen

Thu Nov 10, 2005 4:38 pm

I'd say Ray Allen followed closely by maybe Michel Redd. I've never seeing M Redd played in my life but I'd have to say Kobe is the best shooter when it does matter the most. I'd also like to add that even though Dirk Nowitzi is a 7 footer he's one hell of a shooter, he can give you a 50-4-90 season... so watch out people!

Thu Nov 10, 2005 5:09 pm

wats a 50-4-90 season?

Thu Nov 10, 2005 5:22 pm

Ray Allen. Perfect stroke, and quick. Plus it works in the clutch unlike PEJA

Thu Nov 10, 2005 6:02 pm

The answer is Ray Allen. (Y)

And what about Shane Battier!

He's shooting 75%, 22 of 28 so far, and 6 - 8 on 3's. What the heck is going on in Memphis?

Sorry I meant to say 50-40-90... that is the percertages averaged from FG, 3PT and FT respectively.
