First off, some of you who think this is a huge longshot are stupid. Kobe scored more points per game, yes we all know this. He also took 5 more shots a game and turned the ball over like a whore.

Pierce is a far more efficient player offensivly, he's learned when to shoot and when to pass. All of you would really rather have 27 points on 20 shots than 22 on 15? you can let pretty much anyone on the team take those 5 extra shots and you'll end up with 5 more points. Pierce is also a superior rebounder, and he doesnt turn the ball over like kobe does, though that's also because he doesn't touch the ball as much as kobe does.

My only real arguement is that if pierce was given the same kind of attention offensivly and was allowed to take 20 shots a game and totally dominate the ball, he'd produce very similar stats to kobe.

Now of course, Pierce is a turd on defense half the time, whereas kobe is generally one of the better defenders at his position, which is why i'd give kobe the overall edge. However don't start throwing out ppg and acting like it's the only thing that matters. 22 on 15 shots is every bit as good as 27 on 20 shots, seing how the league average is about 1 point per shot attempt.
