Since lots of teams are having there own thread I feel its my duty as a Clipper fan to give my team a one of its own and the famous NLSC forums.
I dont think their is alot of support for them right now, but Im sure as the season progresses the bandwagoners will come but until then the true Children of the Donald can speak freely.
So lets start, do you think we can make it the playoffs this year?...we've had a good start so far and we dont even have Corey back yet. Sam's been playing real well and has taken a leadership role which is great news and that reduces pressure of Elton. I really think we can make it this year, Sam though is going to be the most important if we are to make it so I hope he doesnt get injured.
I know its just 2 wins but the way were playing is different its like we finally have a desire to win and step it up to a new level.

Always glad to see the Clips doing well. EB is one of my faves. That Singleton guy seems to be putting up good numbers
Sat Nov 05, 2005 7:28 pm
Yup Singleton has suprised me, I thought he'd be crap but it looks like we got another sleeper signing like we did with Q.
Sat Nov 05, 2005 7:49 pm
I hope he doesn't leave like Q

I was talking about Quinton Ross not Quentin Richardson, the new Q not the old one.
Sat Nov 05, 2005 8:25 pm
Oh...
I was wondering why you were calling Quentin a sleeper

I'm not really a Clipper fan, but I follow them more closely than others.... I take pride in being one of the eight people in the world still doing so.

Well its good to know at least somebody follows them.
Moving on, how does everyone feel about us putting the jinx on yet another talented player in Shaun Livingston....the guy seems to be headed for a train wreck already but I expected it I mean he's like a walking stick for god's sake. If only Oliver Miller could share some of those pounds with Shaun things would be different for the both of them.

steve- what's the deal with Brand? there's some talk of him losing A LOT of weight this past offseason. something in the neighborhood of 20lbs?!
Sun Nov 06, 2005 7:21 am
Timberwolves will take care of the Clippers tonight.
Sun Nov 06, 2005 9:33 am
CLIPPERS NATION!! FEEEEELIN YOU!!
beacuse riot believes that they'll lose, the T-wolves will get pounded tonight by the boys in white red and blue. cassell might get trigger friendly. scratch that; he WILL get trigger happy. but no matter, brand will hold his own against the beast we call KG. singleton will keep up his act for another 3 games.. teams'll start to figure him out but his hustle (his offensive rebounds.. off the chart!).
now, what does singleton project to be? A SF or a PF? or a pf game and hustle with a SF body (speed/conditioning)?
Q isn't a sleeper imo. his production (sub 10 points) combined with time in the league (over a season now) should at least translate to more than 10. but his D is good (unfortuantely, not trenton-hassell-esque just yet) but being given with the tag as a defender, he aint "spectacular"-ly for a low-profiler. decent shooter whose got the effort.
shaun livingston.. man o man do i hope you get better (unlikely) with the injuries deal. came into the league expecting injuries as result of frail body, but not THIS insanely injuryprone. my friend saw him in person and says this kid's got vision rivaling KIDD and johnson! and with that fro, he makes a thin 6'8" kid turn into a 6'10 balla.
bill simmons should burn for dissin EB's hustle and questioning his consistency. im glad boston's still got mr. pierce... HAHAH

I'm hoping Jaric can contain Cassell. I'm mostly worried about Brand and Kaman though, the Timberwolves have given up way too many offensive rebounds and second chance points.

Well not that much but he has lost some weight, Im not sure why but I think he just wanted to get a more sleeker build perhaps to better his athletism and speed.
J_Smoove - Even I've met Shaun in person, he's a really smart person and a real pro aswell but he has no chance if he doesnt put on some weight and get stronger. I think he could turn into a megastar in the league yet but he seriously needs to start downing some multivitamins and going on a fat full diet and not fat free.
I never take anything Bill Simmons has to say seriously, hes just another nobody trying to diss a somebody...I mean seriously what the fuck can the guy do besides crack jokes about people, I bet he didnt even play ball for his high school.
Clippers are going to put the hurting on the Timberwolves tonight, no question about it Sam I Am is gonna go all guns blazin'.
Sun Nov 06, 2005 12:11 pm
We'll see about that. Sam will come out firing, that's for sure.
Sam is awesome, no doubt but he won't be able to hold up for 82 games.
Sun Nov 06, 2005 4:25 pm
Wow close game but the victory is ours, Jaric was a shadow no suprise there. Mobley had a big night but cant take away Elton's and Q's contributions nor Sammy's.
3-0, next stop Minnesota...wonder how the fans will react to Sam I Am returning.

Great game and a very frustrating way to lose.
Garnett was clutch all game, he was banged up and exhusted but he got the shot he watned and he just couldn't nail it. Tough way to lose.
Timberwolves have lost back to back OT games. Last night they lost in OT @Seattle and tonight @LA. Garnett has played back to back 45 minute ball games. He was exhusted at the end.
Great game, Clippers are very improved. I'll be at the game on Monday, I'm make sure I welcome Sam home.
Sun Nov 06, 2005 4:31 pm
Garnett needs to go to a decent team. They may aswell call themselves the Garnettawolves.

Wally certainly has been a disapointment this year. 4 points in 36 minutes tonight and 3 turnovers. Marko Jaric has been impressive and so has Kandi. The reason why Olowokandi is being more productive is they are actually putting him into the offense. In years past he was just there.

Wally is better off being a model than a ball player, he was absolute crap tonight I mean Kandi seems to have a better offensive game than Wally these days. By the way it was nice seeing Kandi Man, everytime I see him I always say to myself 'Thank god we didnt keep him'....but that being said he has improved a little bit and is better than the litter player he was when he was with us.
Riot, you should take a sign saying 'E.T. Go Home'..or why not print and take the photoshop image of him in the bicycle.

(I love you Sam!)

I'm not surprised by Singleton's play because I liked him since I saw him in training camp and pre-season. If no one has noticed, Brand has lost weight, he looks like a SG on the floor because he's only 6'8, and he's lost the belly weight.
He was athletic before, but it seems like he's gained even more mobility, and it seems like it's helping him out blocking shots, he's averaging 3 BPG right now.
About KG, you really can't hate on him because of the crapines of Minnesotta's management. I do like the Jaric addition though, he's a good player, and as long as he stays healthy, he's a true PG, good defender, good playmaker, and good all-round.
The Clippers last night did what they couldn't do last year, that is finish games, and produce down the stretch and in crunch time. The addition of Cassell and Mobley will be really big, not just for their abilities, but also how they open up the floor. Their's so much spacing on the floor now, and Brand has more room to operate, he was even able to hit a clutch J last night because he wasn't just getting crowded.
I loved when Cassell got tangled with KG, then got up in his face, and KG hugged him

. Also Cassell's flip shot was quite funny, I thought it was going to go in.

it's real surprising to see brand that slim. sam smith would speculate about brand's questionable work ethic while he still was with the bulls. it wouldn't surprise me if he mentions something about steroid use now. but yeh- good for brand, obviously shedding that extra weight will help his game... it should also ease the stress on his knees and ankles, which he has had some problems with
as for the cassell shot- heh- where was someone else on the helpside? that shot screamed 'block me!"

What do you guys think of Big Will (Wilcox)?...I just loved him from the start and thought he'll become a monster and well I was real happy when he got the starting spot while Kaman was down.
He's still growing as a player though, I just hope he gets more minutes this season because he has way more potential and ability than Kaman. I think he can turn into a 20-12 player if he puts his heart into it and he gets his minutes, he has great leaping skills, upper par athletic ability and has a good frame...I really dont get why we use Kaman over him, or does Big K remind Mike D of his son.
I have a feeling we'll end up letting him go or trading him and then he'd go somewhere else and mold into a monster.

friend went to the game and was completely surprised of how exciting (not to mention GOOD) the clippers are. welcome to clipper land, dug under that drama we call the laker show.

Shaun-L is out with injury, He might be back in mid to late December...I dunno its almost impossible to predict return dates with him.
Corey should be back soon, he might get one more week of rest before suiting up. At worst two weeks but I think he'll be back on court before two more weeks pass.

i no..it was a rhetorical question
