How will Miami perform without Shaquille O'neal?

Postby dada on Sat Nov 05, 2005 7:04 am

It is reported that the Miami Heat will lose Shaquille O'neal for 2-4 weeks. I know they have Alonzo as backup and he should be a 'decent' replacement, but there is still cause for concern. I just wanna know how well you feel the team will do over this period of time without Shaq.

i rekon about 50, but probly closer to 75. haslem, walker and mourning can share time in 4-5 (walker only at 4) so they should do ok. lets not forget they are still a crazy team.

Heat have 4 centers on there team. Shaq/Mourning/Barron/Dolec
Barron is developing solid, Dolec is a good back up.
They have plenty of scorers so that won't be a problem either. I think they will do worse when shaq comesback simply due to chemistry reasons.
Walker and Williams gotta shooot more now, but when shaq comesback its time to cut down.
Stan Van Gundy might look like his brother after this season because this coaching job is going to be one hell of a task

This is a concern because Shaq is already injuried. This will probably be a long list of injuries this season.

NO KIDDING. And Ron Artest probably placed his foot there for Shaq to fall on intentionally too.

I actually think he did. I saw the replay and he seemed to put his foot right where Shaq was about to land. IMO.

All Shaq can do is rebound and two-hand dunk. That's it.

Yeah, and he can dominate any player or any combination of players in the league today.

Yeah, it's not like he has good mobility or a dominating presence inside.
