We should all agree that Danny Ainge, ONCE AGAIN, had one of the best drafts of the year. Gerald Green will take work, maybe a little D-League, but getting him outside the lotto was absolutely brilliant. Oh and get this, had Green not been there, they were actually considering Gomes for that pick(16th, right?).
Ryan Gomes is a walking double-double who put up great numbers against guys like Okafor and Villenueva in college. Regardless of where he was drafted, he was top 10 in being most NBA-ready. He can easily play the three-spot, yet he still possesses a nice-post game. I wouldn't be surprised to seem him starting by the end of the year.
Orien Greene. Here's a guy who, reports have said, has out-performed some of the best rookie point guards in college play. He came out of perhaps the best mid-major in the country and, unlike Gerald, he's not a project. He's a prospect. He's a pass-first PG who can create his own shot. He has good size and is a monster on the defensive end. Expect him to backup Delonte West.
