Just sitting here watching te news and hearing people talk about whos gonna have a big impact in their rookie season and who isnt. I just wanted to have an idea of what yall think. I am looking out for Rashad McCants up in minnesaota to do big things this year seeing that they arent very strong there so he might get lots of opportuntities. what do you think?

chris paul. i know it's only preseason but the stats that he's put up so far have been pretty good - 9.2 ppg, 6.8 apg, 2.00 spg while shooting 58% (7-12) from 3 pt range.

i also think he will be productive year even tho people say he's undersized and the bigger PGs will just bully him around. how they gonna bully him if they cant stay in front of him?

I think it will be Ray Felton or Deron Williams.

Charlie Villaneuva..... Just because.......
I think Raymond Felton has a pretty good chance, and so does Bogut or Danny Granger.

Chris Paul or Charlie

i think charlie villanueva is gonna be a sleeper. he's been putting up awesome numbers in the preseason. if he gets the minutes, i'm sure he'll be productive. i had no idea that dude had range

Rashad McCants. Mark my words.
He has an amazing camp and pre-season. The guy will be the 6th man at the beginning of the year but who knows? He might be a starter by the end of the year.

finally someone who agrees with me.

I agree with you mostly because I'm a Timberwolves fan though. But he's been amazing.

he's putting up around 11 ppg in 20 minutes this preaseason. second leading scorer on that team behind kg so hopefully that can get him an opening day start which he can (will) hold for the year.

Wally and Hassell will start at SF and SG unless Wall can't go for the season opener.
Thu Oct 27, 2005 7:55 am
believe or not i think maybe charlie villaneva might have a chance look at his pre-season stats

I'm between Chris Paul and Ray Felton.
Thu Oct 27, 2005 8:39 am
Right now , I'm honestly saying one of 3 PG's , especially since Bogut isn't starting anymore

. Deron , Chris , or Ray .

I think Paul is gonna end up winning it. he is definitely starting over speedy claxton, and has some players who can finish his assists(JR, Mason, Birdman) and a godo 3 point shooter to feed some passes to (Macijauskas)

Hakim Warrick is probably considered the most underrated rookie so far this year at least on these boards. He is ranked like 9th right now as of being ROY for this season and has been having one of the best pre-seasons so far for rookies. The only thing that's keeping him away from the award is PT, and he may end up recieving alot since Brian Cardinal is recovering from knee surgery so most likely Warrick will be backing up Gasol.

hmmm charlie's starting to make me eat my words. but im hopin he gets it.
i believe chris paul'll get it though. he's badass and on a really weak team. PT will be 37mpg+
Thu Oct 27, 2005 1:27 pm
i got to go with the #1 pick bogut is going to win it
Thu Oct 27, 2005 1:34 pm
Charlie, Paul, or Kenny Anderson
Thu Oct 27, 2005 1:52 pm
Haven't been checking preseason stuff so I wouldn't know.
Thu Oct 27, 2005 2:25 pm
my vote goes to Charlie V, he's averaging 16ppg at 0.481 %. I don't think anybody expected this except for the Raptor fans. Rashard McCants is also doing a good job.
Thu Oct 27, 2005 2:51 pm
Chris Paul or Martell Webster
Thu Oct 27, 2005 2:52 pm
I would say Charlie, but he's playing 30 mpg... which is like 10 more than the next closest rookie. On the other end of the scale, we've got Channing Frye playing 19mpg and putting up 11/5 and shooting .528
