Lakers logjam at SF just got reduced.
JJ to CHA for 2nd round pick.
it was unfortunate because i was hoping to see him play yesterday (preseason game) in person. i actually went to the game and they put him on the jumbo screen at the anaheim pond for quite some time. guess it ties in (coincidentally??)

decent trade i guess. jumaine was mad streaky and he never really grew on me ever since i saw him play with the 76ers.

Yes!!!
I love Jumaine Jones, and I think he's underrated and I hope he starts getting some minutes in Charlotte. He's a big athletic small foward/shooting guard and he can shoot the three.

Sorry asdf, I'm not with you on this one.

I love Jumaine Jones too. I was hoping Wolves would pull a sign and trade for him and Divac (before he offically retired). Oh well.
Jumaine is a gem. He can jump out of the gym, he works hard, he is a great shooter, a decent slasher and he can play 3 different positions. At one point he even started at PF for the Lakers.

JJ has always been said to be "jump out of the gym" type player. unfortunately, i never saw that in LA (in fact, he missed an allyoop from kobe on an open break!? i thought this kid could JUMP! and it was actually a decent toss).
he bulked up to 242 (according to nba.com) so he was probably getting ready to backup the 4 on LA. hope he turns it around and contributes 10ppg off the bench. his D is madly underrated.

I wouldn't say that he can jump out of the gym, but he's better than most people would expect. He looks a little bigger than most swingmen normally would so people would probably downplay his jumping ability.

although i liked him at the lakers, i hope he´ll get more playing time in charlotte.

i heard that this year might be devan george's last year in L.A. Too
Thu Oct 27, 2005 8:38 am
Devean George is incredibly overpaid . JJ , He's adding depth to the bobcats weakest position , so this is good for the Cats. When do you think this teamm will make the postseason??
Thu Oct 27, 2005 8:44 am
bobcats will make the playoffs when i graduate from high school (2010)
seems very similar to the kareem rush deal they made, also involing LAL.
jones gives the bobcats a seasoned veteran.
and theres no doubt that he does better with charlotte than the lakers.

He went from my favorite team, to my liked team. What else is there to say?

This is an okay trade i guess... I really hope Jumaine Jones gets a lot of playing time

Lakers still have no PG.....
nevertheless, JJ is a good player.
Thu Oct 27, 2005 5:19 pm
I'm not convinced Jones will remain with the Bobcats for long... The Bobcats certainly took him because they had a hole at SF and because Jones is in the last year of his contract... Jones is no longer a prospect, he's not the type of player the Bobcats have been looking for since they arrived in the league.

At least the Lakers have less guys in the SF rotation. And I think we could have gotten a bit more than a second rounder foir Jumaine.
Thu Oct 27, 2005 9:19 pm
nice trade for both teams....Lakers needed to clear up some logjam....addition by subtraction....I also don't think that JJ was a Phil Jackson type of player....I like trade for Bobcats as they only had to give a 2nd Rounder away, and he's an extra body who's talented and springy....he should do pretty well I'd say....and besides, I've liked JJ since his Georgia days, even if he did leave college 1 year before he should have....
