If you want to use google to check your deductive reasoning, (i.e., seeing when Bobby Hurley played at Duke), then it's fine.

But if you just put the comments into google, why bother? It's not like there's a prize. And if that's the case I'll have to go straight from the magazine, and then the comments won't be as interesting.

BTW, I'll post a new player later today.

whoops

____ is only in his third year of organized ball, yet has already
drawn comparisons to the likes of Ewing, Olajuwon, Motumbo and O'Neal.

Defensively, ____ is a good post defender, strong enough to defend the
biggest centers, who is athletic enough to defend on away from the basket.
_____ is also a topnotch rebounder.

Offensively, ____has little more then a dunk for a repertoire. He
also had poor footwork and will require a lot of work.

The potential upside to ____ game will more then likely make him
the first center taken (definitely a lottery pick).

It is rumored that ____ has already hired an agent and has left school,
making it impossible for him to go back if he does not like the team
that drafted him.

Kandiman?

EDIT: Yeah I was wrong, Marbury isn't a lefty.

Your answer!

KENNY ANDERSON

-Came into Georgia Tech after dominating High School at Archbishop Malloy High
-Was one of the most hyped college point guards ever and lived up to it
-Averaged 25 points per game in his second year, after which he left for the NBA
-Played against Bobby Hurley, John Crotty and other point guards in college

This round's winner was INITIAL D! He was the first person to answer correctly.

The rest of the Top 5:

2. cklitsie
3. Drex
4. Jae
5. Gloveguy

Okay, let's play again!

Can you name the current or former NBA player who had THESE comments in his predraft scouting reports?

"He's not going to be the best player on a championship team, but no one in this draft is..."

"Turns into right shoulder, explodes to basket from low post -- that's his offensive bag o' tricks. No range, no handle, leaves his feet defensively ..."

"I know he's not immense, but there have been other successful 6'_" 4's in the recent NBA; Otis Thorpe comes to mind."

"...he scored 35 points but only touched the ball for 53 seconds in the entire game.."

"...stopped the Huskies push with a dunk off a tip-pass from teammate and future NBA rival _____..."

"He's smart and apparently a terrific person, which counts if you need a player to develop."

"...a low-post threat, high scoring small forward (a healthy Mashburn?!)."

"...the only other _____ to ever win the coveted AP award was Michael Jordan."

"Let's just hope he doesn't grow out his hair..."

PM your answers to me! Player's name in the subject line. Feel free to discuss clues and deductive reasoning, but don't give away answers!

And just to be sure, try to send your guess in before you read the replies!

A perceived week draft,
A tweener
Defenseless
Bernard king type (low post, high scoring forward)
"...the only other _____ to ever win the coveted AP award was Michael Jordan"
That one gives it out...
