lakers & twolves, game 3

Postby air gordon on Fri Apr 25, 2003 4:05 pm

they are playing in OT as of right now...

do these refs have some cash riding on lakers????

a lot of phantom fouls were called on the twolves down the stretch, especially the one on big country bryant's 3 pointer.

there sure was a hell lot more contact fox on wally when wally stepped out of bounds (17 secs left) then the foul on whoever when bryant shot the 3pter

KG gets 3 fouls within a span of 2 minutes. and horry's flop in the opening seconds of OT draws the 6th foul on KG

Unfortunate break for the Wolves, seeing as they were up by 5 with 17 seconds left. I can only "watch" the game on NBA.com's live scores/play by play so I can't comment on the nature of the fouls, but I did see there were a lot of quick fouls called on the Wolves.

yeah no shite... I'm watching the game same as Andrew, and noticed all the fouls... and how convenient that Garnett fouled out in the rist 12 seconds of overtime. If the T-Wolves have the lead late in the game the refs will definately make a run :D

Still some time left, NBA.com claims the Wolves hold a 107-106 lead.

Refs probably gonna award bryant three free throws on some wild shot.

how ironic... on the time shaq actually attempts to miss a FT on purpose, he makes it anyway

nice- its a done deal. biggest win in twolves history. twolves beat the lakers and zebras. more importantly, twolves hold the 2-1 series advantage and reclaim home court ad

Posted too late. Great effort without KG, though he had a great game (33 points, 14 rebounds). Good effort by the Lakers who were down by as many as 9 in the fourth. There goes the whole sweep prediction. The series will have to go to six for the Lakers to win. Definitely not impossible, but a little more trouble than they probably anticipated.

thank goodness the twolves pulled this one out.

now i don't hear this BS coming from LA fans that great teams get the benefit of the fouls, lakers are heading to the championship, etc

One could simulate OT wolves vs lakers with Live 2003 without using any of the fouled out players. Would be challenging.

Wow...i really have newfound respect for the Wolves after watching the last two games. I'll admit I'm a Lakers fan...but they don't look like championship material at all this year. And honestly, they got soooooooooo many beneficial calls down the stretch tonight..did u guys hear Danny Ainge??haha..but he was absolutely right on most of what he said.

Surely they can't complain about the foul calls, they got their share. The Wolves just managed to step up two games in a row.

Finally some justice, worst refs ever.

Barkley: "WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO SHOW ALL THE BAD CALLS"
