Decided to make a Celtics thread.
Pierce played nasty in the first game 7-11 shooting, At one point he shot 7-8. He was drilling hi J's.
But I was bummed out Green didnt get more PT.

Decided to make a Celtics thread.
Translation: Decided to spam & waste internet forum space.

how is that spam? theres a Pistons one and some others
Thu Oct 13, 2005 10:27 am
lol.
tell you the truth, though live in MA, don't really care too much about the celtics sadly to say....

The some other ones you referred to aren't needed. Just as this one isn't needed. Team-related threads should be kept for the much talked about franchises, sadly Boston isn't one of them at the moment. To give them a whole thread is just...stupid.

Beg you for some respect for the winningest team in NBA's history, ok?
Hopefully, there will be some fans in this forum boards that will still have some interest for their favourite franchises, through good or bad times. There have been Bulls fans in this forums that kept with the team through the not so sexy period 98-2004...

OH MY FUCKING GOD
SOMEONE KILL ME. SERIOUSLY, KILL ME. I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE.

I'm dying of laughter which is why it's a tad difficult to find words to express how bad it hurts from laughing so much right about now.
Beg you for some respect for the winningest team in NBA's history, ok?
I never disrespected them you turd, I just said they're not THAT spoken about in the media nowdays for them to have their own thread. You can un-knot your panties now.
Thu Oct 13, 2005 10:15 pm
Ah! So you measuring stick for a thread's interest is media coverage? Then I guess a NY Knicks thread is more worthy than a San Antonio one. There are maybe 5 teams in this league that are over hyped or over exposed by the media let's just talk about them then...
Maybe when the C's reveal themselves as one of the most exciting young teams in the league, they'll get back to prime time, and then we will speak again, right?
Off the topic, my pant knotting is only similar to yours in the old Kobe vs Shaq threads.
Peace.

You're looking for an argument when there's no real basis for it.
You're quite right that the measuring stick for a thread is the media coverage that team receives. This way we don't have to have a gazillion & one articles/topics about how Kobe Bryant grew a zit on his ass or that Phil loves cheesecake. With those kind of topics, we can just request them to post it in the team thread.
However, if a Boston Celtics article comes around, which is rare these days, I think it'd deserve it's own thread opposed to it just being posted in the "team" thread.
I mean, do you see the point in making a Charlotte Bobcats thread? What for? It's just a waste of space.
I'm actually giving the Celtics more importance by encouraging them to have topics per article & you're turning it around to me downplaying the Celtics probably because you think I'm a Laker fan.
Offtopic, atleast those threads served for some discussion, this thread here serves for you just being a bitch.
As the gangsta's say in gangsta's paradise, peaze out homez.

The point I am trying to make is that people are allowed, in my opinion, to have some interest for teams other than Miami, Lakers, Cavs or Knicks. It's debatable wether or not there should be 30 threads, but there's no point in dismissing a thread based on "media coverage", which in your opinion gives a measuring of our (the posters) interest for any given subject.
Fri Oct 14, 2005 5:10 am
They're allowed but I think it's quite annoying to see every team having it's own thread. In my opinion.
Fri Oct 14, 2005 7:27 am
Just to inform you, puto, the Knicks thread got like 7 pages, and this one currently has 1 Celtic-related post. Carry on with your argument.
Fri Oct 14, 2005 7:42 am
Just to inform you, puto

You did that on purpose, didn't you?
Fri Oct 14, 2005 7:44 am

Nah, I didn't. It's in his username, right?
Fri Oct 14, 2005 12:54 pm
AJAJAJAJAJA wtf, puto????
Fri Oct 14, 2005 3:19 pm
there are a few celtics fan here at the forum, i don't see why the team shouldn't have a thread
there are plenty of boston celtic articles out there lol, just not in the national media. the national media shouldn't be used as the measuring stick for "articles"/interest anyway

Great, now you can actually start talking about the Celtics, since this is supposedly a Celtics thread.
Sat Oct 15, 2005 3:29 am

Now let's see how long this thread holds up.

I'm getting really disapointed to see Dan Dickau failing to secure the starting pg position, in pre-season. I know Dickau is a poor defender, but Delonte West showed me nothing last year to justify a starting job and Banks is just to wild.
On the other hand, as happy as I am that Ryan Gomes is doing good lately, I can't see why Rivers doen't give more burn time to Green. Fact is I'm just to curious to see what he could do against NBA caliber players. But this might mean that Rivers doesn't have any plans for him in his rotation.
Mon Oct 17, 2005 8:43 am
i can't believe banks got hurt again....he would of had a chance to steal the starting position, and i think out of our pg bunch he's the only one who has a legit future in the NBA as a point guard....well dickau will stick around, but no more than a benchie, and delonte is about as much of a pg as joe forte was.
Green impressed me last night despite 3-10 shooting. That "silky-smooth" description i've read here and there is dead on. He forced a few things, but i think that was somewhat due to the coaching staff screaming "SHOOT" as could be heard on TV.
Orien Greene has also impressed me, he's showed solid decision making, but his lack of a jumpshot is killing him. That ahtleticism and size makes him valuable even so.
Gomes and Reed have been tremendous. Both look like very solid rotation guys, and both even have a shot at starting with Allen out for a bit.
West has been alright i guess, but i dont think he's a pg. He can shoot, thats about it.
Banks injury really screwed his chances of sticking in the pg rotation for any major minutes.
Dickau sucks, Scalabrine sucks, Borchardt sucks, and Bynum sucks.
K, there's my thoughts. Cant wait for the next game with Big Al back...
Thu Oct 20, 2005 8:17 pm
Celtics point guards are all missing in action... A competition to see who plays worse, maybe?
Fri Oct 21, 2005 9:03 am
when hinirich is shooting 8/9 the other nite on you guys, you got some problems
i saw the preseason game last nite- blount always seems to play well against the bulls. pierce has some good games too but he's always complaining of the physical defense chicago puts on him. the celts shot a ton of ft's btw
too bad al jefferson didn't play. i was looking forward to seeing matchup with chandler/sweetney
