Clippers sources inform the New York Post that they've been quietly entertaining offers for Corey Maggette.
Word has it he's supposedly not smart enough to remember Mike Dunleavy's plays that don't have him finishing the play.
Chris Wilcox is also said to be available.

He isn't smart enough to remember the plays.

The Clippers are dumbasses.

If Maggette leaves to the Knicks
They would be so stupid.
EDIT: Isaish Thomas would make up for all the bad things he did.

Kobe101, You watch the Clippers right? Does Maggette look like hes free wheeling out there or is he trying to follow the playcalling?

I tried to watch the Clippers but the Lakers were on most of the time. I couldnt watch mutch cause I was busy and when I watched I only saw the Lakers play or other teams play.

Maggette has been on the block for the whole offseason and Chris has been on the block since start of last season, both were offered in attempts to get Vince, PP or Ray and all of them failed. With Bobby Simmons gone and Cuttino Mobley in Im not sure why they would replace a mid level star player whose been improving and improving season by season unless they are getting Pierce.
But I dont expect Corey to get traded to the Knicks thats for sure, unless Rob Babcock switched bodies with a certain somebody today.

Considering his salary, I'd say Maggette is a pretty good player. He's young, strong, athletic and is capapble of drawing a lot of fouls on the other team. He puts up all-star type numbers but gets paid around 7-9 million a year I think.
With the crap that's in New York right now, I wouldn't even try to trade him there. What could New York honestly offer to the Clippers that's as good as Maggette?

Well the Nets gave up shit to get VC , so I guess anything can happen , right?

Vince Carter was averaging 15ppg, 69% from the freethrow line, 41% from the field, 3.3 rebounds (all of those are career lows by the way), and 3.1 assists. What did you expect from horse crap statistics like that?
Mon Oct 10, 2005 4:31 am
C'mon , We both know the raptors couldve gotten alot more for VC . He was averaging career lows , but everyone knew what VC could actually do.

But would you honestly take the risk of getting someone who could potentially play like shit? What if Vince continued his crappy play? No one really knew for sure until he finally blurted out that he purposely sucked ass.

Raptors got the most they could out of Carter. His value was at an all-time low.

What is the point of that? Maggette for Crawford almost works (it should), why would they add Penny? And who would be the filler for the Clippers? Elton Brand? What's the point in adding Penny's contract when the two sides are almost identical?
Mon Oct 10, 2005 10:09 am
I hope Celtics trade Pierce for him
Mon Oct 10, 2005 12:55 pm
i thought maggette value was much higher than crawford..ok guess penny is not needed, maybe i am underestimating crawford ability
Mon Oct 10, 2005 1:14 pm
I'm not talking value wise, I'm talking salary wise. Crawford and Maggette make about the same amount of money why would you add $15 million worth of expiring to the deal?
Mon Oct 10, 2005 1:25 pm
lol ok i see your point

Drew Gooden and Eric Snow for Maggette and Wilcox
Mon Oct 10, 2005 4:22 pm
ahh, another trade associated with the Knicks. By the time the season starts they'll have traded Curry away and fired Larry Brown.
Mon Oct 10, 2005 4:26 pm
if this was really the case, why wouldn't the Clippers trade Maggette before the deadline last season, re-sign Bobby Simmons to play SF, and then sign Cuttino Mobley
Mon Oct 10, 2005 4:45 pm
Maybe Maggette wants out? And wants to join Cleveland....
