is a team allowed to have 15 players plus 2 more D-League players or r the 2 D-League players apart of a team's inactive roster?

That's a good question... I think the rule is that you're allowed 12 active players and 3 inactive... so I'm assuming the D-league players will come from the inactive roster but I'm not really 100% on that. I think it'd be better if teams could have their 15 players, then a separate roster for D-leaguers.

Yeah thats right. A team must have 12 active players and 1 inactive as a minimum I believe. Those sent to the D-league come out of the max 3 inactive players. So I guess this means that if there's a lot of injuries on a teams roster, players can be pulled from the D-league team and placed on the active roster.

Exactly. A team must have 12 active players and at least 1 inactive. It's up to 3 inactive players and a team can send 2 players from the inactive list to the D-League. A player can be sent to the D-League up to three times in a season.

Isn't there an age limit on it too, so older guys can't be sent to the D-league?

Only players with less than 2 years of experience can be sent to the D-League.
