Deleting retired players

When I tried to delete retired players from the roster (like Greg Anthony, and now Michael Jordan and David Robinson), DBCommander will let me do it, but when I load up the rosters, they are still there. When I check DBCommander, their record is no longer listed. The method I am using to delete them is to highlight the record and click the "delete record" button near the bottom, but as I said, this doesn't seem to permanently delete them. Any thoughts?
