I like playing Live in the one on one - mode with crazy matchups...e.g. the tallest player vs. the smallest.
I once created Manute Bol and let him play vs. Muggy Bogues.
What do you think would win in reality? Bogues would get blocked each time but Bol would lose the ball each time and could only take threes.
Who is the best one on one player in the NBA? Who would win a contest with all NBA-players? And who are the worst players?
The best will be Garnett, I think or other allround-players.

I got two words for you, little fella: Kobe. Bryant.
Tue Sep 27, 2005 7:58 pm
I'm torn between Kobe, Tmac, Lebron and KG
Tue Sep 27, 2005 8:08 pm
I would say Kobe would win hands down. Coming in at second would be KG... and then third.... Tyronn Lue!
Actually, I would say AI is third...
Tue Sep 27, 2005 8:37 pm
I would say T-Mac and Bryant. These two can win it all. Others include James, Wade and KG.

Dont forget Iverson, Baron, Francis and Arenas. These guys are great one on one players.

I read that Kevin Garnett dominated his teammates in 1 on 1 matches at the 2000 Olympics. It was on SLAM or something.

On second thought, perhaps KG would be the the more obvious choice. His combination of length and athleticism gives him the power to frustrate anyone on D and he can simply shoot or jump over anyone who tries to guard him. Bryant wouldn't have much troubles scoring on KG, but then again, he wouldn't be able to stop him when KG had the ball.

Im surprised no one listed Darko Milicic to win it
Anways, my picks would be:
-Darko
-LeBron
-KG
-Kobe
-Tmac

#8 is the best one on one perimeter player no doubt...
he just has an attitude prob that keeps him from being the most dominant player

Yes but I also wanted to know what crazy matchups would look like.
What, if a player under 6' played against a 7' 3'' center for example?
Or just imagine Bol vs. Bogues...
Wed Sep 28, 2005 3:23 am
Oliver Miller vs. Robert Traylor
Wed Sep 28, 2005 7:42 am
That's not crazy, they're even in fatness.
Wed Sep 28, 2005 7:46 am
There's not many fat players in the NBA, so it'd still be an unusual matchup. Maybe not crazy, but unusual.
Wed Sep 28, 2005 9:00 am
Shaq and Vince would be good one on one guys.
Wed Sep 28, 2005 3:29 pm
KG would pretty much rape his opposition
Wed Sep 28, 2005 3:52 pm
KG or Tmac... they all have game but those two have the height advantage.
Wed Sep 28, 2005 3:55 pm
KG would beat anyone.
Wed Sep 28, 2005 3:59 pm
i once saw Jabbar and Dr.J get it going one on one.
guess who lose?
jabbar
Wed Sep 28, 2005 4:14 pm
Thats expected.....Dr J is lean and mean. Jabbar is tall and not mean....
Wed Sep 28, 2005 8:12 pm
Shawn Bradley vs Yuta Tabuse.
Thu Sep 29, 2005 8:02 am
