My favourite Analyst would have to be Bill Walton.. mainly for the stupid shit he says all the time  I mean any guy that throws his shoe during a game deserves to be an analyst

The analysts on "Inside the NBA" on TNT are my faves.

Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley, Magic Johnson

Fri Sep 16, 2005 7:47 am

Kenny Smith thanks I like him alot and Barkley. Thanks man forgot about Inside the NBA

I think Tim Legler is pretty good. Greg Anthony isn't bad, Charles Barkley is the only other one I can stand, and he's freakin hilarious.

I like Brent Musburger(sp?) he makes every game sound like its a life or death situation.
Hubie Brown is good just cause the game is real easy when he tells what play is coming and Al Michaels is just awesome at any sport.

For some reason, I have a thing for Tom Tolbert.

No, I'm not gay.

Fri Sep 16, 2005 8:18 am

I like Magic Johnson ( as a Analyst)...I don't like barkley as an analyst...i think he should be a mascot for the suns or sumthin...

Fri Sep 16, 2005 8:18 am

I guess everyone agrees with me when I say Steven A. Smith isn't even close to the Top 10 . Anyways my favorite is Charles Barkley , funny guy there. Basically the whole TNT crew.

Fri Sep 16, 2005 9:09 am

The TNT crew. I hate most of the ESPN crew.

Fri Sep 16, 2005 9:57 am

Jack Armstrong!!!! and the TNT guys are pretty good...
the worst would be Bill Walton, some one needs to fire him. He tries too hard, and it's not paying off.

Fri Sep 16, 2005 10:05 am

Yeah Jack's good (Y) I also like Marv Albert.

Fri Sep 16, 2005 10:11 am

Aye! Don't forget my boy Stephen A. Smith. :)

His name is Dick Vitale.

Fri Sep 16, 2005 1:34 pm

dick vitale stopped doing nba games in the late 80's/early 90's i believe

maybe he's referring to DICK STOCKTON? though he's more of a play by play guy

doug collins and hubie brown are the best in the biz. they know a great deal about the game and they don't have to yell to let you know.

this new wave of nba analysts seem more like entertainers first, nba analyst 2nd

Fri Sep 16, 2005 1:37 pm

oh damn, i totally forgot about Doug Collins and Hubie Brown.... it's been a while.... yes they are as good as it gets..... besides, Jack Armstrong that is.....

Fri Sep 16, 2005 2:36 pm

I like Tim Legler and Greg Anthony(Y)
I also love the "GINOBILIIII!!!" of Charles Barkley :)

Fri Sep 16, 2005 4:13 pm

Legler and Anthony use a good mix of basketball insight and humour during ESPN broadcasts, which kind of makes up for Steven A. Smith's attempts to be funny, insightful and controversial all at once (and failing miserably).

anyone not named bill walton pretty much..

I threw my shoe during a basketball game once, i got 3 fouls in a row so i was like STOP CALLING FOULS ON ME so i took my shoe off and threw it on the ground, made me feel much better

Fri Sep 16, 2005 4:49 pm

walton in the nba finals: "brent barry, one of the best rebounders.........."
other guy: you were saying?
walton: in his family.

Fri Sep 16, 2005 5:41 pm

My choice is Steve Kerr. Hes been there done that and knows exactly what hes saying.

Fri Sep 16, 2005 7:44 pm

steve kerr is pretty good too...so is marv albert...one of the best. i like using the "YES!" a lot whenever im pretending to be a commentator during PE.

i always do that whenver im not playing
