Cleveland will play in "Quicken Loans Arena"

Postby iG® on Tue Sep 13, 2005 5:14 am

The home of the Cleveland Cavaliers is now Quicken Loans Arena.

Dan Gilbert, who bought the Cavaliers this year, officially renamed the building after the online lending firm he founded. The change had previously been announced and was made official Saturday during a party at the former Gund Arena to mark the 20th anniversary of Gilbert's founding of Quicken Loans.

Story.

I liked Gund Arena better :| I don't like what Dan Gilbert had done to the franchise since he bought the team.

That's lame, I hate names that are sponsored, I understand they need the money, but you gotta love names like "The Boston Garden" and "Madison Square Garden" not this bologna sauce Continental Airlies Arena or Quiken Loans ( ) Arena, please.

Staples Center..

But that doesnt matter if Cleaveland's homecourt will be renamed. The most important thing is for them to play harder and win...

Actually that's a pretty cool idea, Riot. It'd be the home of LeBron James, and that should stop him from leaving Cleveland.

 I think he'd stay if they could get into the playoffs first.

But the Best Arena Name by far is.... The Palace of Auburn Hills. I love that place but ive lived here my whole life and i still dont know where the "Palace" part came from...

The Palace of Auburn Hills, home of the Prince (and owner of Reggie Millers soul) :)

Cleveland officially have the gayest arena name now.
