I think Spree is capable of playing SF, so the line up would be:

C-Mihm/Brown
PF-Odom/Brown
SF-Spree
SG-KB
PG-TBA

I think the lakers will solve their PG problem before the season starts

spree shouldnt go to LA...unless he accepts playing a reduced role..

plus he needs the ball (like Kobe) so im guessing hes gonna be fed up with the triangle like 2 months into the season...

Spree's a veteran with some gas left in the tank, making this one of those signings that looks good on paper as far as the talent pool is concerned, but looks a lot worse when it comes time to find a place for him in the rotation. He's not suited to play point guard, even the "unnatural point guard" that the triangle allows for.

At least he'll fill Caron Butler's gap in the team

Tue Sep 13, 2005 4:50 pm

If this signing happens I will cry until my brains turn to mush and then fall through my nose and then die. What the hell would be he point of getting Sprewell! The Lakers need good solid role players who can play their role on the team, not people who don't want to fit into a system that isn't based around them. In case you didn't notice I don't really like Sprewell

yea he will replace Caron Butler position is concern but he will never and can never be a point guard..but frankly, the guy need a break anyway Phil will make him better..he is the piece that the Lakers needed to be successful again. (Y)

Tue Sep 13, 2005 5:31 pm

That is where I think you are wrong

Tue Sep 13, 2005 5:56 pm

Sounds optimistic... I'd rather sign Tyronn Lue though. If we had the chance... or trade Spree for Fish! (Y)

Damnit! I broke the cap thingy of my can of coke and it fell into the can as I was going to write something! :x

Anyway, Sprewell and Lakers, dont fit at all. I think hes getting LAs attention so that Shaq will try and 'steal' him from them as a get Kobe scheme. Therefore Sprewell wants to go to Miami.....but then again, I could be crazy.

Hes better off in New Orleans, they got nothing and a whole lotta cap to help him 'feed his family' and also his hogness - if thats a word.

If that doesnt happen, then he should just retire and keep selling car rims to feed his family.

Tue Sep 13, 2005 6:18 pm

He is 35 years old but I think he has still the ability to play the game..:Lakers will be gaining if they sign him because this guy is a clutch and experience player.I remember him playing for the Knicks. (Y)

Tue Sep 13, 2005 6:56 pm

Yeah but thats before he was a faggot. Thats not an opinion either, I used to love the guy.
But now, hes all about money and being the 'Kobe' or 'Iverson' so to speak, but he cant do that stuff anymore, not that he could do it very well before anyways.

Tue Sep 13, 2005 9:21 pm

I think they get spre to play like they did last year so the starting lineup would be like this:

Pg: Mckie
SG: Bryant
SF: Sprewell
PF:Odom
C:Mihm/Brown/Bynum?

Tue Sep 13, 2005 9:23 pm

MIHM AT CENTER!!!

or spree off the bench...

trade spree would be a good move...unless he proves he can change his ways
(i also hope Kobe can change his ways)

Wed Sep 14, 2005 12:04 am

if anyone wanted spree they would sign him, not trade for him

Wed Sep 14, 2005 8:27 am

i think they should go for a trade! Sign Spree and get Butler back for Latrell

Wed Sep 14, 2005 8:33 am

They can't sign him and then trade him right away, that is against the rules in the CBA.

The Wizards would NEVER do such thing!

If Sprewell is on the starting 5 then look for Lamar to have another sub-par season. Lamar needs to be played at the 3 spot or he is not nearly as effective.
