I was gone all day yesterday going to a funeral. It was my dad's aunt and he didn't even go, he made me go up there and deliver the card personally. Needless to say, I almost killed myself trying to pass a semi on a two-lane highway.

Yeah, it was fun though. We wasted quite awhile before leaving trying to decide whether to go northeast and maybe make it to Boston or Maine, or go Southeast, and possibly reach West Virginia or South Carolina or somewhere around there.

We finally decided to drive Northeast, and we drove straight through to New York. The next morning we drove up through some really beautiful land in Vermont, New Hampshire and along the coast of Maine. We stayed in a small town called St. David in Northern Maine. We probably should have continued up to New Brunswick, but one of the people I was with refused to believe me that you don't need a passport to enter Canada, and wasn't willing to take the chance. Then we drove a straight shot all the way home, and thus, a great final trip for us. There were 4 of us, and all of them (except for me, I'm doing a late start program) leave for college in the next 2 days, so it was kind of goodbye.

I'm back! Upgraded to an AMD Athlon 64 3000+, Asus A8V Deluxe motherboard, 1 gig of DDR RAM, a new computer case, and a DVD burner, all for $580 Cdn (appx $480 US). I moved my video card and hard drive to the new computer, and as for the older computer, all I need to do is buy a cheap monitor and hard drive then I can give it to my parents. Pretty good deal!

What do you mean? Putting the motherboard in the new PC or using the new PC as a server?

I'd go against using the new PC as a server. Point of a server is to be FAST and you achieve that by uncluttered shit. I know PC's tend to get cluttered, no matter what you do.

If you can do 8 HD's I'd suggest you go with like 5-6 individual 30 gigs every time.

5 x 30 = 150
1 x 150 = 150

5 x 30 > 1 x 150.
