Amare. Last year was just a warm up. I expect to see Wade and LeBron continue to improve as well. Those three are gonna be huge.

I think Tayshaun Prince will be a big suprise this year. Sure most NBA fans know hes a good defender but i think this year could be his breakout offensive year. Last year he averaged around 15ppg this year if he has gotten stronger and focused on being able to create his own shot off the dribble he could break out and lead the team in scoring with a solid 18-19ppg, 7-8 boards and 3ish apg.

Marquis Daniels. With Finely gone I'm sure that he'll be getting more minutes and hopefully he'll beat out Stackhouse for the starting guard spot.

I have to:
Joe Johnson, the new team leader of the Hawks. He can do anything he want now.

Emeka Okafor, I would not be surprise to see him lead the league in blocks this season. Also, his points and rebounds would increase as well.

Kobe Bryant, with Phil Jackson back, Kobe should increase his stats in every category, especially his points.

I see Amare, Lebron and Wade having monstrous season.

I see Kobe playing a much better and organized basketball.

I see Kwane Brown giving us the most amazingly surprise as well :)

Ben Gordon, Vince Carter, and others are notables.

I think Sebastien Telfair and Zach Randolph will have breakout seasons....

Um, Amare and LeBron and Wade as well

Garnett and all the power forwards of the Timberwolves will get injured which will make Tskitishvili have a breakout season, i see this coming

Emeka okafor and Gerald Wallace as well...

oh and Pavel podkolzin (if he gets traded)

Joe Johnson is an obvious pick, he'll certainly have the opportunity. I'm not so sure about Amare, unless he's been working on his defense. I've all but given up on annual breakout possibilities Darius Miles and Gerald Wallace, they're generally my picks as well. Kwame's close to joining their ranks as well. Emeka Okafor seems like a sound pick.

So just to throw some names out there: Okafor, Joe Johnson, Sebastian Telfair, Shaun Livingston, Iguodala, Travis Outlaw.

what about Lamar Odom? I think that in phil's system he will have a big role something he hadn't last year during the first half of the season when rudy tomjanovich was coaching the Lakers...i can't compare mike and pippen with kobe and lamar but i think that the LA superstars could have similar roles with the ones that the two chicago stars had in the 90s...

Lamar Odom's breakout year was 2003-04, last year he just suffered under Kobe's ego.

when you don't have the ball in your hands and your coach don't draw a play for you you don't have to blame other player's ego for not having a good year...i don't know anyone who can score or pass the ball without having it to his hands

Sam Dalembert.

people say Philly paid too much for him so he has to proove them wrong. also Mo Cheeks is a Dalembert fan, i expect Sam to get more playing time and get involved more.

I don't like including 2nd year players into this, because if we say who's readyto break out, an obvious list is:

Dwight Howard
Shaun Livingston
Andre Iguodala
Sebestian Telfair
Al Jefferson
Josh Smith
Luol Deng
JR Smith

I mean if kinda goes without thinking that players improve in their 2nd year because that's when they've gone through one season, and understand how the game is played in the NBA.

How can you have the ball in your hands a lot when Kobe's on your team? Everybody knows Kobe needs to pass the rock more often and take less (forced) shots.
