Does anyone know what happened to these NBA players?

These are quite obscure, so I couldn't find all this info on the net, someone please answer if they can.

Brian Shaw is for some reason non-existant in 1989~1990 season although he was drafted a year before that, as well as John Starks. WTF?

Look after 88~89...where is 89~90? Were they not signed or something? I mean...I would think SOMEONE would be interested in shaw or starks..I believe there are other players also for some reason missing that year.

What happened to Derrick Gervin? He only played 2 years.

Supposedly he was good in college.

There were some other weird things I ran into looking at 1990 rosters, but I can't think of them right now.

John Starks

Played in the CBA with the Cedar Rapids Silver Bullets in 1989-90....Played in the World Basketball League with the Memphis Rockers in 1990

Starks indeed made a lot of minor leagues before finding his place in the NBA...

Quite a few notable role players from that era cut their teeth in minor leagues and outside the US before making it in the NBA, including Anthony Mason, Mario Elie and Donald Royal to name but three.
