Idiot.

Overrated 'greats'

Had their not been a knock on GP, I'd still regard this as pure crap. Why does Fox let this guy write? Clearly because he gets a good rile out of his readers.

What a tool.

The guy finds a player's flaws, greatly exaggerates them, and calls their strengths urban myths. I really wanna beat the shit out of him.

I don't know a ton about most of the players he lists, but some of the stuff he says sounds bogus to me. Karl Malone's assist to turnover ratio? That's right, Karl Malone was always known for racking up the assists. And he brings up a series against the Bulls where Gary Payton couldn't defend the best basketball player of all time? That's a joke.

I think the article should be more angled towards "Greats, for their time, but not of all time." and i'd agree with it alot more. I think he definately exaggurates in this article, but some points are valid.

 That's a terrible, terrible list. Wow. Charley Rosen is a moron. So's the rest of FOXNews anyway, and I'm sure Riot would agree with me there.

FOXNEWS has good reporters, for the most part. I can't stand Hannity and Colmes though.

Impose has a point. If that was how he was trying to portray those players, Rosen might have a point. As it is, he's pretty much twisting the facts and exaggerating the negatives (or creating them) to portray those players as grossly overrated. He's hardly telling the full story or even the half-truth.

Man this dude is ridiculous. He uses one bad game of a player as an example why he's so overrated (GP) and takes into account stupid things like Malone's Assit to turnover rating, which makes like no sense at all. Plus, just because Jordan flew past The Glove (9 times all defensive) he should be labeled as overrated, yeaa sure.

This guy is a clown for sure.

Some of the players are considered greats not because of their numbers on the court, they are considered great for what they did off the court and their personality. The Adimiral is a good example of that. He is a good basketball player and a great person and that makes him one of the greatest.
NBA Live 2003 is the best game ever made.

Hadn't even thought of that, probably because those lists were so weird and off the mark I hadn't given much second thought to any of them. Seems he's even contradicting himself in an attempt to put out brash and controversial opinions.

most people call Malone No. 1 or No. 2 All-Time Greatest Power Forward....I think by saying that he is overrated, which has been discussed here on the forums, is his way of explaining his drop to No. 4 which was mainly to do with his choking nature....

I find some of Charley Rosen's points quite valid, and think that his All-Time lists are not too bad....at the same time, the way he portrays these players in such a negative light kind of dismisses any of some of the very valid arguments that he might have....
