Let's all join hands and hope for him to join the Celtics.

Come on. Do it.

Now.

Curtis B, Blount, TE, 2 2nd rounders (MIA) for SAR and Ratliff.

They'd do it, right?

Heartbreaking for Nets fans.

I'm sure Jason Kidd is NOT happy about this either. Marc Jackson doesn't suck...but he's obviously not Shareef. :(

The AP was reporting the trade exception they had was to expire at midnite so new jersey's hand was forced

Shareef will never be a net trust me...The Nets are planning to trade him otherwise maybe next couple of weeks theyll announce that...You get my point they get jackson from Philly thats the sign that theyre planning for it but it takes slowly but surely..

Getting Jackson is a nice addition to the Nets but I am very disappointed that Rahim did not want to join the Nets. Nevertheless, he still have time to rethink and to make his final decision.

the nets have nothing to offer him... they've used the MLE on cliff and mcinnis and the TE was either traded to philly or expired..

outside of signing min or close to min contract players like songalia or hunter with the remainder of the MLE, any further improvements this off season for the nets are limited to trades..

The Nets have probably missed out on great chance to form a vastly improved team next season. I heve been hearing beef about Reef's arthritic knee ever since he got drafted by Vancouver and still the guy rarely misses any games due to any type of injury, much less a knee one. And he would be signed for 6 years and 38 million? ONLY 6+ mil per year??? That's a huge financial bargain for a guy that can put up 18/8 with ease... In my book, the Nets screwed this up, at least on paper. Maybe his knee has gegraded quite a bit, I do not know... But it still seems like a huge missed oppoertunity for the Nets to field one of teh most talented starting fives in the NBA next year. :(

You sure about that....I dont think thats correct
because what about Rasheed when he went to Atlanta for 1 game then got traded to Detroit

As Speedy said, Sheed wasn't a free agent. That stipulation generally only comes into play during the offseason.
