Haven't you see any games he played?
Wed Jul 20, 2005 2:21 pm
It isn't that weird, it's just that he ends his shot with his hands touching, which they shouldn't be.
Wed Jul 20, 2005 2:35 pm
I regret not takeing basketball more seriously when I was younger.

LoL Indy..
He didnt really have a weird shot.. but like FendeR said his hands would touch at the end of his shot... but I noticed his shot all worked on the way he flicked his wrist..
Wed Jul 20, 2005 4:13 pm
He let his elbow hang out more than a shooting coach would advise, which meant his shooting arm was on an angle instead of being vertical while shooting, which theoreticly could affect accuracy and means your wrist isnt straight either....
And the hands touching after release thing.....
it was just an odd style for such a pure shooter.... even weirder was a guy i went to primary school with, he had the "chest pass" shooting style and when we played their high school like 4 or 5 years later he still had the same style, just refined it, quick as hell release and accurate as all hell, couldnt believe he kept it.

What the hell? You've never seen Reggie Miller shoot? When did you start being a basketball fan? He just retired this season.

I think that's the ugliest shot ever... I noticed Marion shoots like that sometimes from beyond the arc.. had a person that shot like that on our highschool team... uglyyyy

K-Mart also shoots like that. It's interesting, cause it's usually the short and weak people that shoots like that, so you use the power of your arms more than the wrist. But Marion and Kmart are both big men....and strong

You're supposed to be the huge Miller fan here, crying about him and such. Why not answer the question?

He probably answered via PM. Its just one of those things thats better handled privately. You wouldn't understand jae

But this topic wasn't locked?
Besides, if he has a problem with this kobe fan not knowing how Reggie shoots, he should have pm'ed Andrew about it and handled it privately.

Its ok Jackal, every Pacer would hate on Kobe/Lakers coz of those 2000 NBA Finals
I always thought Reggie did look wierd whe nhe shot, but its so damn efficient! so why would ya complain?
Thu Jul 21, 2005 1:29 am
The shot would look like a kid's shot on anyone else but Reggie.
I remember a game where he made a last second shot for a win or tie against the Bulls and he started dancing on his tip toes like a kid who has to go to the bathroom.

Game 4 1998 Eastern Conference Finals. I was there.
He drained the three, then did a dance in circles.
It was awesome. I consider it my best Pacer moment.
