Care to make a post as to why he is wrong?

Read his article first and you'll know.

I read it, and I think to him defense plays as big a part as offensive skills. But theres no way Hondo should be ahead of Pippen.

My all time small forward list:
1)Bird (no brainer)
2)Pippen (this is strictly becuase I never saw the prime of dr j in the aba)
3) Dr J
4) Rick Barry
5) Dominique
6) Havelicek
7) Bernard King
8) James Worthy
9) Tmac

Is McGrady a SF? He plays that position in Houston, but he was a guard in Orlando and Toronto.

Sat Jul 16, 2005 9:27 pm

1)Bird
2) Dr. J ( in my opinion, and from rare footage I have of his ABA and NBA games, he wasn't much different than MJ, just a poorer shooter)
3) Rick Barry ( what a scoring machine)
4) Pippen ( defense matters, yes, but the guy was born to be no. 2, so he doesn't deserve to go any higher.)
5) Havlicek (Rosen is right, that guy could run a marathon on a sprinter's pace)
6) Worthy (complete forward, and the emotional leader of a star-ladden LA team)
7) 'Nique (great scorer, but underachiever in the winning dept.)
8) Bernie King
9) -open space-

You can put him at either. I just put him there to get him on a list.

Given the rumors that he's actually closer to 6' 10" rather than 6' 8", I think it's safe to call him an SF.

Yeah, I believed it too. But looking at GettyImages gives me thinking that he really is 6'8'' (with shoes).

-Amare is exactly 6'10 with shoes. Just draw a line.
-Marion looks at least 6'8''.

Given the fact Kobe is listed at 6' 8", and T-mac looks like at least an inch taller in the second pic, he's probably closer to 6' 9".

Sat Jul 16, 2005 10:50 pm

Kobe is listed at 6'6'', although that's probably his height without shoes.

Sat Jul 16, 2005 10:56 pm

yes, you're right. I always thought Kobe was about 6' 8"... whatever...

usually the official NBA listed height is WITH shoes, though. Although in some cases it's not.

Sat Jul 16, 2005 11:25 pm

Yes. For instance, D-Wade is 6'5'', Kobe is 6'7'' (wasn't that his official height for a while?), Bosh is 6'11'', Mihm is 7'1'', Bobby Simmons is 6'8'', so is Joe Johnson, KG has to be taller than 6'11''... But then again, Ben Gordon and Dajuan Wagner are both exactly 6'1'' (without shoes) but listed at 6'3''. It doesn't bother me in real life, only when I'm playing Live where height is a big advantage and all the players have their listed heights, not their real ones. There should be rule to measure all players in the training camps and send the data to the NBA to refresh the listed heights and weights.

Sat Jul 16, 2005 11:29 pm

I read somewhere that KG was around 7'1 or 7'2, but was listed at 6'11 as a rookie so he could play SF. I thought I read Kobe was closer to 6'8 but who knows.

There was no draft so everybody who could shoot a basketball and chew gum at the same time was a free agent.

I found it funny, weird things amuse me...

http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/3734262 all time best point guards. Oscar is #1 there.

Sun Jul 17, 2005 6:57 am

just wanna point out, that every list this guy makes starts good, great even, then he gets to number 2 and its all shit from there

His point guard one might have taken the plunge from no. 1, since I am sure there are a lot of people who consider Magic better than Big O.

Sun Jul 17, 2005 9:49 am

yeah i agree simply because of the ring factor

Sun Jul 17, 2005 10:25 am

my thing with the point guards is different than everyone elses. i always say that stockton was the best pure pointguard ever. he did what a point guard was supposed to do better than anyone ever. being said i would consider magic the best player to ever play the point.

Sun Jul 17, 2005 10:52 am

Sharman number 2??? (N)

Sun Jul 17, 2005 4:43 pm

The small forward list is a bit better, though I too would rank Pippen second. I'd also rank Magic and Stockton 1 and 2 on the point guards list. The fact Bob Cousy is an honourable mention on the point guards list says it all, really.

Sun Jul 17, 2005 4:58 pm

pippy shoulda been 2nd. but didn't larry bird play alot of 4? finesse 4 during his early career didn't he? DQ HIM!! jk, he's godly only because i love that jumpshot. funny how some of the greatest shooters have strange looking jumpshots (peja comes to mind)

__________
anyways, about the measurements. kobe is 6'7 with the shoes. kg was quoted "im 6'13" meaning he's around 7'1" but it didn't look right for the NBA to have 7'1" Fs (now of course, there always bloomin up). tmac is close to 6'9". bobby simmons is 6'7" but he's still buff as shit. joe johnson is 6'8"-6'9". dwade is indeed 6'5", making him a decent sized SG (and an even godlier PG). ben gordon is 6'2" (6' 2.25"). marvin williams is getting away with 6'9, as is j-smoove and jawad williams. however, sources say jsmoove has grown since then. people even said that lbj is boaut 6'9" now, 250+pounds (lean mofo!). childress is 6'7" and hurt his stock even more when he weighed 197 at the predraft camp. joey graham 6'6, charlie is 6'9.5 yet listed at 6'11. darko is 7'1" with shoes making him a 7+foot sf/pf/c. course goddamn pistons don play him enough he's strictly a C now.. fuggin pistons

because im both LAs fan, livignston is a legit 6'8" and with the fro hes about 6'10! godly pg!! HUGE PG!!

The Power Forwards...

http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/3747894

Malone gets another bashing, and Charles Barkley does not even make the cut...

Baaaahh... (N)

Mon Jul 18, 2005 9:21 am

I love Rodman getting recognised at number 7. But Malone at 4, and like dwever said, Barkley not on the list? This is retarted.

Mon Jul 18, 2005 9:49 am

Guy's an idiot.

How can you put Rodman on there, then leave out Barkley -- an MVP -- for having baggage?

I can see him easily fucking up the centers list to come.

Mon Jul 18, 2005 10:50 am

This guy has to be kidding... (N)

Guy's an idiot.
