The Smoking Thread

I'm pretty bored, so I wanna know what do you guys think about smoking? Do you smoke? If so how much? Anything related to it.

I myself smoke 3 cigarettes a day approximately, 4 or 5 when I have an exam or need to relax from anything.

I started at age 14 and my country has a VERY big smoking habit, it's amazing if you compare it to many parts of the world.

I smoke Viceroy Ultras (don't know if they are sold in the outside of the country).

The smoking laws in Chile are pretty loose, they sell to underage kids and you can smoke in many public places. A new anti-smoke-in-public-places law is going under revision.

I think I have enough shit getting in my body with the smoking, so I don't drink (also because I really don't like it), and I will never do drugs cause of basic values I have.

I smoked for the first time when I was 6. My uncles smoke, my parents smoke & till recently, one of my sister's smoked. As I said, the first cig I had was at the age of 6. After that I smoked again when I was 13, then a close friend of mine asked me not to do it, and I never did. It's a promise I made to her & my grandmom. Given all three of her kids smoke, she hates it. My sis quit recently, not only because it was bad, but because a pack costs like 4 euro's now. Marlboro that is.

Oh, & that friend never tried cigerettes based on the fact I said they suck. She was tempted, but she took my word for it, that was pretty cool, so for me to break a promise to her, that's just wrong. Damn, as Nick would nicely put it, I'm a pussy.

I myself can go from smoking nothing for a month, to smoking two packs in one party night. Pretty sore throat afterwards, too.

pretty much the same here. People from countries like ours really hav eproblems adjusting to life in heavy non-smoking countries, especially in Central Europe.

I don't smoke myself and probably never will. But I don't necessarily condemn people who do. I mean, at this day and age pretty much everyone knows smoking is bad for you and it costs a ton but they do it anyways because of either they're addicted. I personally think all this anti-smoking campaign is futile.

Don't smoke (not even old enough...) but my dad smokes cigars and it freaking smokes up the den in our house. I hate people who smoke around me, I just want to strangle them till they turn purple.

The smoke gets in the air and it's untolerable to breath. If they are giving me second hand smoke and "killing" me then I should have the chance to kill them first, right?

Of course, I'm kidding about the actually killing them part. But the point is the same, I hate it when people smoke around people who don't smoke...especially little kids like 5 year olds. And it's even worse then they blow the smoke in your face.

Don't smoke, and my dad use to smoke when he was young before he went into the army, but once he got in, he never smoked again. I'm glad he doesn't smoke because I got asthuma and if you smoke because you think its coo, then your lame So I hope if you do smoke, you smoke because you like it and not because you think its coo.

I agree with you totally, when there are little kids around, and if I can, I try to move a little bit for the smoke to get to them.
And blowing smoke in a guy's face is just plain rude, I don't know who does that.

Lol my Grandpa use to do that to all of us, even when we were like 5-6 years old.

i started smoking pot when i was 12, then smoking when i was 16 all kinds of lights..malboro lights and the likes. i pretty smoke 3 sticks a day, then i got a dreaded lung disease called BRONCHITIS the summer of my 17 birthday where i smoke 3 packs one afternoon. after that i left smoking smoke in my lungs. when Jona said that smoking laws are relaxed in Chile....wait till you get to the philippines....."THERE IS NO SMOKING LAW"!!!!!!!! you can smoke even when there are 60 NO SMOKING SIGNS at your face and you wont get fined. hell you can even smoke at the senate hearings. i can see a kid as young as 6 smoking at the subs...man o man my country is really a cool tiny hell......hope poeple will do something soon...

I don't smoke, and I personally think they're a waste of money and detrimental to anyone's well being. I can understand the cultural aspect and the addiciton, but really, there's absolutely no point to smoking.

Yay Jackal we both smoked at the age of 6. Anyway i first tried it at the age of 6, my uncle said to try it and i did. But i dont smoke, most of my friends do (weed also). I tried smoking for the second time 3-2 months ago wit my friends but started coughfing. Anyway no one smokes in my family not even my relative (except 1 uncle)

I could easily try it, but how dumb would that be especially since i have asthma It's even alot of kids in my neighborhood that I play basketball with that smoke pot, they have the brown stick and everything. I could easily smoke that too, but I don't want to try it.

No one in my family ever smoked in their life and my parents would always bitch at me when I was little to not smoke, or they said they would make me sleep in the garage (which creeped me out that time). So I guess that kind of scarred me for life so I'll never go near a cig.

I started smoking when i was 14 also. Me and a friend who lives accross the road used to steal his dad's ciggarettes and smoke them behind the yard. At that stage we did it to try it out, and we thought we were cool.

These days i only really do it when i'm drinking... i don't know why... but when i drink i crave it. So that's about 5 a week on average. I wouldn't really consider myself a smoker, i never smoke by myself, it doesn't interest me enough. One of my best friends lately has gotten himself what i think is addicted. He doesn't like to admit it, but he's gone from smoking only at parties like me, to buying ciggarettes for himself on a frequent basis and smoking by himself at home and stuff. Which i reckon is kinda sad. Awell.

As for weed, last time i smoked that i was convulsing on somebody's lawn for an hour and a half, so i don't think i'll do THAT for a while.

Smoking cigs is "cool" and most of all people started it because of that or peer preasure. Its also very unhealthy dont ever try it.

Simply as that, if you want lung cancer, go ahead and smoke. Else, don't smoke like I do, they smells, bad breath, air pollution, expensive, etc. There are better ways to do than smoking like eat more healthier food and exercise like playing sports, and jogging.

As great and funky the feeling must be, as with all drugs, I have VERY strong issues about loosing control of your own actions, that's why I despise drinks and dope so much.

So I'll stick to my Viceroys, thank you.

Alot of teens my age smoke cigs in Thailand too.
