I read that EA signed a deal with ESPN. Does this mean that all the ESPN programming will be implemented into NBA Live 06 too?? And if I am wrong could someone correct me

They have signed a deal with ESPN, but it goes into effect next year so we likely won't be seeing anything ESPN-related (scoreboards, commentary etc) until NBA Live 07 at the earliest.

Well, the presentation would be better at least. Whether or not having ESPN logo and commentators significantly improves the game or not comes down to personal preference.

It does actually. Apart from Bill Walton that is. Although I read they're implimenting a new camera angle for Live 06 that's more like a TV presentation, which is good.

I personally prefer Marv Albert to any play-by-play announcer for ESPN (Brent Musberger's probably my favourite ESPN PBP guy) and any of TNT's colour guys to Bill Walton, Tom Tolbert and co. If there was a way to have both in the game, I'd be fine with that.

It is good to have a new commentator like Steve Kerr but for me I am much particular with the gameplay, graphics and the franchise mode.

I really hope that power dunker and shooters are two of the remaining 4 freestyle mode categories..

Agreed. Marv dominates everyone else.

Id like it if you got to see sum cut scenes of the commentators.
Like after a play or something, and also at the end of the game Michelle Tafoya talks to the Player of the Game....but that would mean they would have to get real player voices. Which would be awesome!!

They licensed the ESPN name etc., as Sega did for their game. ESPN did not make a video game, their name was simply on a video game.

And I hope they dont put that sportcenter sound bite everywhere like in the ESPN NFL couple of years ago. It gets annoying very quickly.
NBA Live 2003 is the best game ever made.
