Congratulations on the milestone, the milestone thread and being such a huge part of the forum. (Y)

Jackal wrote:Andrew: I’d like to thank you for obvious reasons, without you there wouldn’t be much of an NLSC to visit. I thank you for your daily contributions to this forum & site. I also thank you tons for managing this site & putting up with the tons of requests, fusses and other dramatic bullshit. It’s amazing how much patience you have & I hope you keep on doing what you do for quite some time now. I’ll be a very sad poster if you retire as webmaster.

A very sincere thank you to you too. I'm glad we were able to move past what happened last year and that the forum has been able to move forward. Even though I've been doing this for a few years now, times change and I can always find ways of improving my contribution, approach and the site itself. Thanks for the patience and the suggestions.

And for whatever it's worth, I'm not retiring from the NLSC just yet. Sorry to disappoint any hater following I've garnered over the years. :P

Jackal wrote:(I’m sure Andrew’s going to ask me to foot the bill of that tab one of these days.)

And trust me, you don't want me to do that. It's rapidly approaching six digits.

cyanide wrote:No worries, Andrew, the tab's on me

Again, it's rapidly approaching six digits so I would advise against that. ;)

Footnote: I suppose I'll have to do one of these when I hit 15,000. But that won't happen until at least next Thursday.

Congrats on your 5000th post man! (Y)

When I first met you I thought you were an arrogant dude, but as Cyanide told me you're a great and unique person..the arrogant part was just a misjudgment on my part and you're on the list of people I look up to on this forum. Yeah sure we all look up to Jae but when he's 4'6'' it's kinda hard  j.k. :D So anyways dont wanna make this sound sappy, but I'm glad I got to know you better and I appreciate the shoutout man. :)

See ya around bro 8-)

Scarily, that's very likely to happen  ... says the guy with nearly 6,000 posts since last year

Anyways on to Jackal. As Matthew said, no one's actually shaped you here because if you read your own posts then you'll notice you're still the exact same person you've always been. When I first noticed you posting I remember someone, I can't remember who exactly, told me they'd been showing you a fair bit of the old forum and you were learning about how things used to be etc etc which I personally thought was a great idea because you've ended up being on a similar wavelength to how we were in the "golden years". There's been times where I thought you'd gone too far as far as flaming goes, but the times I've had the chance I've said that to you... to be completely honest you're one of the very few people I feel I can say exactly what I think about them, alot of others aren't really as... trying to think of the word... well not tolerable, but willing to accept their own faults and work past it.

I'm glad you're sticking around, I need someone to be trailing me in posts otherwise I just feel like a spammer. Nice to see Matthew posting again, come back you whore. I don't know why I called you a whore, just seemed to fit I guess.

As far as Jackal for moderator goes, I think it's a great idea and it has actually been discussed in the past. The main thing stopping it from Jackal has been Jackal himself. But no, I won't be giving one of my moderator tags to anyone. Get your own, bitches (hoping to get a laugh from the 15 year olds of the forum).

I think introducing the Hardwood Classics section was one of the best ideas the NLSC has had in recent times.

Lol now I wish I had actually created the idea instead of stealing it from some other forum

Yeah sure we all look up to Jae but when he's 4'6''

Shut up  jk... I'm actually 6'5, so ha

PS: No it's not a coincidence that all of the better posters are Australian, we are the superior nation. That's what my telegraph said today when my kangaroo got the mail for me that is.

Tue Jun 28, 2005 6:00 pm

congrats (Y) and tnx for the shoutout (Y)

Tue Jun 28, 2005 6:33 pm

Awesone Jackal. You really are a great poster. I really need to start thinking up ideas for my 5000. It won't be too long now. And 4000 is for wimps so I might make a ps: at the end of a post. :D

Keep posting!!!

Tue Jun 28, 2005 9:41 pm

Congratulations dude (y)

I'm glad you didn't stop posting the last time, and I hope you won’t stop this time either.
You’re more of a contribution to the forum than people realise...

Psh, thats my job
(it was a good idea though :))

The time has come...

To show my gratitude to you guys for showing your gratitude of my gratitude. (Coolmac, what I mean here is that I am going to thank you, for thanking me because I started off with thanking you.)

We'll just go in order of posts:

Asdf, thanks mucho, although it isn't my birthday. Same ol' 30 year old here.

Indy, thanks, about that section, they've only showed me old women upto now, I'm not into granny sex anymore. I'm hoping as time goes on, I get to see a little more of the 18-25 range girls. :(

Thanks to Ironman to, those were kind words.

Dweaver: Moderator? Nah. Then I couldn't flame as much as I do. I'd actually have to officially represent the NLSC, having a moderator with my "rep" isn't feesible. Notice Jae managed to turn down the flames...however I don't think I'd be capable of that.
Welcome for the shoutout, although we've had our differences you make a damn good contribution to the forum (besides when you turn it into a chatroom with Coolmac).
About meeting Jae, I doubt that'll ever happen. Australia, Netherlands. Nah.

Thanks Doobie. Hope you keep contributing too, although perhaps a little less about your weight.

Matthew, you lie. It's not your dislike that brought you out of retirement, it was me asking you to post. :P Pff, I figured you'd feel the rush of posting again and say fuck the retirement. As Jae so subtley put it, come back you whore.
I'll praise who I want, when I want. So don't lecture me missy. About JCLive, already spoke to you so no worries about that one.

Mr. Pac, you overestimate my posting abilities. Smart posts? I ramble on and on. I'm sure 60% doesn't even read my posts.

Cyanide, many thanks for everything, the last MSN convo was great too, got to know you a bit more and you're just as cool as I'd imagined you. Keep contributing to the NLSC, you're one of its finest. About Jae & my tandem, I'll be around, you'd better talk him out of contemplating his departure.

Mafia, I'm sorry I didn't write much about you. I will do so in the next thread. Apologies once again. Keep up the great work you do on your dynasties, they are a + for the NLSC.

Riot, it may be hard to believe but when I was thinking about my favorite debates, I'd placed the Dre one on top...when I wrote this huge ass post against him, then placed yours after that. The rest of the spots are taken by Air Gordon, but that's another story. That debate we had was a great one, one I haven't forgotten over the time. It was amazing to see you go from a total fan boy to actually accept a different opinion, props once again. You may be weird...but you add variety to the boards. (Y)

KevC, fuck you. Run off to band camp or go study some more, weren't you never going to post here again? Boo fucking hoo? Hehe, nice way of ignoring the T comment btw.

Mazz, I've moved past that given you've...well matured. Even if it's a bit, you have. Besides, who else could bring us the wacky news we get? It's more news than a certain news reporter.

OSF, as in the case of Mafia, I pulled a complete blank, my bad dude. At times you've pissed me off with some of your comments but when addressed on them you realize what it is you did & try to move past it. That's one thing I do like about you, many younger teens would just throw a hissy fit. Shit, a certain Swedish poster still does.
Your character is colorfull as is your signature, you remind me or Carlton.

Andrew, I'm tired of writing about you so just a simple thank you and g'bye. :P
Jae, see above.

Thanks Legend, I really disliked you at first given you were just flipping out or having a spasm attack, your choice. Then Cyanide told me you were cool & I should give you a fair chance. He was right, you're cool & I'm glad you didn't mind the words I sent to you via PM. Here's hoping you, like Cyanide, stick around. (Y)

Many thanks Colin, I'll go with the trend of saying I'd hope I got to know you a tad better, at times you seem a bit overconfident of stuff I suppose that's alright given you balance it out. You make a great contribution to the forum & you're also one of the few that are still around from when I just just joined. See you around the boards & hope to learn some techniques from you.

Andreas, many thanks. This morning only I realized I mentioned how under-appreciated Jae is for his modding duties, but at the same time so are you. You do stuff quietly & do it well. The design, I'm still gung-ho about it, it's awesome. Both of you did a great job on it, props. Secondly, your fetish with shoes are scary. :P

Thanks to Coolmac, Null17, Sit, Skip, Filip, Alexboom & PiksS. :)

Tue Jun 28, 2005 11:13 pm

Thanks for the thanks hehehe

actually I would've posted something longer than the congrats above but I was in class then so I kept it short coz I was supposed to be programming instead of browsing the forums

Wed Jun 29, 2005 1:13 am

Wed Jun 29, 2005 1:27 am

Congrats Jackal, you are one of the great posters in the world!

Wed Jun 29, 2005 2:02 am

The party don't start til I walk in. :headbang:

Anyway, congrats on 5k you spamming, 30 year old, fat, illeterate prick who frames n00bs until the site has 9,000 users but only 25 guys that post. (Y)

Wed Jun 29, 2005 3:05 am

Come on Gambit, I'm the one with the beers!! :P

Congrats on your big 5k man, your posts are intelligent, and at times completely hilarious.

Wed Jun 29, 2005 3:54 am

More gratitude. Wow, Jackal, you just keep it coming. I have to now show my gratitude towards the gratitude that you displayed because of my previous displaying of graitude that came about because of your initial showing of gratitude. What?

Wed Jun 29, 2005 4:25 am

Damn, I was put on the loser's list...and below Mazz!

Really, how long do I have to be here to be considered a vet?

Jackal, you're a nice dude. I don't think I've ever though that you're a prick. Maybe because you've never been a prick to me, but trust me, the people to whom you were pricks -- they deserve that shit.

Wed Jun 29, 2005 4:26 am

Even though I sometimes think you've gone off the deep end trying to flame seemingly the whole world, some of your flames are just hilarious. It seems to me from your posts that you really are an intelligent guy, just an incredibly ... inventive one when it comes to how you show it. But you're still a moronic asshole jk. I still remember your flame of the guy who revived a thread hoping Dogg would eat his socks  (Y). Your contributions have not gone unnoticed by me.

And don't worry about the bill anybody, we'll just push it on toolmac.

I guess Canada's a superior nation too; we have the high tech sleighs pulled by trained dogs to deliver our mail which rivals the Aussie kangaroos that can never be found anywhere else in the world. I hope this rivalry doesn't spur a future cold war.

Please stay, Jae.

Wed Jun 29, 2005 5:02 am

Cold war? Say that again, weather can be quite extreme in Canada I hears.

Do you have a winter wherever it is you live Jae?

Glove, you know I got nothing but love for you man, you're one of the select few posters whose posts I enjoy reading. You're a vet, a great one, now just post more often you bastard. Btw, I was just writing as the names popped into my head, it's not in order or anything. :)

Colin, don't make me thank you for all of that.

Wed Jun 29, 2005 6:31 am

cool, that was quite an interesting read. congratulations on reaching 5000 and thanks for the shoutout.

honestly im not liking the NLSC as much as i used to these days, i dont even feel like posting any more. there are only a few people (like 10 or 15) whose posts i enjoy reading, youre one of them (no im not on some 'dickryding'-shit or whatever its called these days) so you better keep on posting.

Wed Jun 29, 2005 6:41 am

Congrats on both, 5000 and passing the test (Y) .

Wed Jun 29, 2005 6:46 am

Many thanks guys.

It's a shame Dogg, your posts used to be quite a read. Although sometimes they used to tick me off (see 3000 thread in Classics section) but regardless of that, it was fun fighting with you & agreeing.

Could you tell me why it is you aren't interested anymore in the NLSC?

Wed Jun 29, 2005 7:11 am

i dont really know how to explain that, quite a few of the newer posters are annoying in my opinion and theres a lot of spamming going on. its also that to me the discussions are becoming less interesting everytime i turn on my pc. i dont know but its not as fun as it used to be to take part in a discussion, about a year ago we really had some good dicscussions on here where people actually discussed a topic. nowadays it just seems like almost everyone posts his opinion and doesnt even bother reading what the persons above him posted (i know there are exceptions but still...). and there arent really a lot of intersting threads these days. it seems to me that the whole character (if you can call it that) of the site has changed. im still going to be around reading most of the topics and dropping my opinion from time to time so i dont plan on leaving. but rite now i dont feel like posting as much as i used to.
