its really hard, becuase patrick ewing had to go through a era that had the best player of all time.

Not to mention that he was actually 6' 9" , rather than the 7' he was listed as... (Y)

Amp, the Knicks had the Bulls on the ropes in '93 and couldn't close the deal(f-n Charles Smith, burns my ass to this day). I know the Knicks would have handled the Suns in the Finals.

ahh good times...
seriously though, that suns team was pretty damn good...62 wins. i'm not sure nyk could take them out so easily. they were almost athletic as chicago AND they had a great low post threat in sir charles

Whoa, whoa....I didn't say it would have been easy, air gordon. I think the Knicks take that series in 7, with a couple of OT games.

Hey you Knicks fans.

Pisses me off seeing Marbury stuck with the team of undersized power forwards.

Why is it so many cats IMPROVE once they leave the Knicks?

In the case of Nazr Mohammed, I think it's a bit of an illusion. In terms of his production his numbers are down and I can't imagine his skills have improved greatly since the trade, he's just part of a better team. He's contributing in a system that's winning games.

He was doing just as good, probably better, with the Knicks.

Statistically speaking, he was better in New York as his role was different. He's playing just as well as he was for the Knicks, he's simply in a winning system now.

[quote="John Starks"\
Q: Now that we know the Knicks are number eight, who do think they should pick?

Starks: We’re just going to try to get the best player available at that slot. Obviously, our needs are at the center spot. I’m pretty sure we’re going to try to get the best available big man possible. [/quote]

Well there we go.

Why would Marbury be untouchable? I can think of at least 3 point guards I would want in front of Marbury (No, Tinsley is not one of them )

The only way he would get traded is if NY can draft paul or williams which won't happen...so Marbury isn't going anywhere...unless felton or some other point is good enough to start.

WFAN's Joe Beningo just asked Ian O'Connor how bad will the Knicks screw up the draft this year. Joe & his co-host(Sid Rosenberg) reviewed the Knicks draft history, and it is sorry.

O'Connor has the Knicks taking Bynum(if Frye's not there).

Marbury to the Hawks?

Postby Jeffx on Thu Jul 07, 2005 11:09 am

That's what I just read at realgm.com. Supposedly the Knicks & Hawks are discussing a blockbuster trade involving Starbury and Al Harrington. Don't know if it's true or not.

No Amp, our best hope for the Knicks is Dolan selling the team. He's the big reason we're stuck in the middle with no way out.
